it's officially april now where i live now, so here's a reminder:

•it is autism acceptance month, NOT autism awareness month
•do not support autism speaks, they are a hate group
•do not "light it up blue" and don't use the puzzle piece symbol. use red and this symbol instead:
to elaborate on that last point, "light it up blue" and the puzzle piece symbol were both created by autism speaks, a charity that is widely hated by actually autistic people, and for good reason. they promote the eugenics of autistic people as well as aba therapy, which is-
extremely abusive. they are set on finding a cure for autism, which is something many autistic individuals do not want, as we view our autism as part of who we are. putting the ableism aside, they don't even use the money they receive to support autistic people, preferring to-
spend it on catering and for themselves, which is especially bad considering there isn't even any autistic people on their team.

there's plenty of stuff online if you want read up on more of their bullshit.
if you want to support the autistic community, especially those who are struggling the most during this virus, consider:

•boosting autistic voices, rather than allistic ones
•supporting autistic content creators
•supporting reputable charities, such as @/autselfadvocacy
also because i always forget that april fools exists this is not an april fools joke post
muting this now bye
