THREAD: Seen as tho I've got nothing better to do, I'm gonna review every single film and tele programme I watch during this period. Here we go....
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996): One of the more underrated Disney films. Got absolutely banging songs, boss score and characters. Frollo is probably the most evil Disney villain and I'm here for it.
The Lion King (1994): One of the greats. Probably the best opening to a film ever. Unreal songs, unreal characters, good imagery and animation. Hakuna Matata is a good motto for these times. 10/10.
Witness (1985): Harrison Ford as a detective hiding out in Amish country. Good story, bit slow in places and the endings abit rushed but an enjoyable film nonetheless. 8/10.
Hercules (1997): Another underrated Disney film. Good art design and songs, Go the Distance probably one of the greatest Disney songs. However, the characters are flawed and don't really do much for me. 7/10.
The Goonies (1985): Absolute cult classic. Pirates and treasure hunts, what more could want. Also, the truffle shuffle. 9/10.
Adventures in Babysitting (1987): Very solid film. Elisabeth Shue playing a babysitter who takes her kids into the city, running into gangsters and hanging off a building. Boss scene when she sings the blues. Plus I think I might fancy Elisabeth Shue so there you go. 8/10
Three Men and a Baby (1987): Decent film. Standard run of the mill 80s cheese really. Funny in parts, good story. Nothing spectacular. 7/10
Rocketman (2019): Who doesn't love abit of Elton? Standard musical biopic full of all the clichés. Montage showing rise? check. Twat of a record producer? Check. Money grabbing manager? Check. Tunes? Check. It was decent. 7/10
The Office US: An absolutely belting programme. Jim, Pam, Dwight and Michael are some of the greatest characters on Tele. Better yet every single character is great, bar Gabe. The last 2 series let it down but the final 2 episodes and seasons 1-7 are enough for a 10/10.
Treasure Planet (2002): The forgotten Disney classic. Watching brought back so many memories of simpler times. Fantastic art design with the mix of 3D and 2D animation. 9/10.
Gonna add games to this thread so, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (2007): Really strong start to the Uncharted franchise. Abit frustrating in places and I didn't particularly like the ending but that's just me. Solid story throughout. Can't wait to continue the series. 7/10.
