For the next few months, for my own amusement I will tweet from the 1939 diary of Frank Forster, fitter/engineer and massive fan of Comrade Stalin. These diaries are kept at the Imperial War Museum Department of Documents 88/37/1.

A bit more (rather too judgemental for my liking) detail from the finding aid in the IWM. Might be on interest to @ShitChester?! 1934-8 diaries are in @MRCWarwick and are the most amazing primary sources I’ve had the privilege to consult but these seem more apt for the times.
