Get ready for an incredibly ghoulish push by Trumpist media to question the number of deaths attributed to coronavirus in order to make the president look good.
Also keep an eye out for the inevitable. https://twitter.com/MattGertz/status/1242433147750567939
Gonna be a lot of "just because all the deceased HAD coronavirus doesn't mean the cause of death WAS coronavirus" chin-scratching.

I wrote about the "deaths are inflated" talking point yesterday after it hit Tucker Carlson's show: https://www.mediamatters.org/fox-news/fox-news-dangerous-coronavirus-mission-accomplished-moment
It hit Fox's "straight news" programming as a "question" yesterday afternoon: https://twitter.com/LisPower1/status/1247948603059994628
After Fauci described this as a "conspiracy theory," Trump adviser Laura Ingraham brought a doctor on to rebut him https://twitter.com/NikkiMcR/status/1248078036551032837
