To my fellow First Gen college students,

I am so sorry that you have had to work twice as hard, make countless sacrifices, and not be able to coast by your 4 years here all for no graduation. You and your family were promised this day for years and yet it has been ripped away

from you all. You are a pillar of strength and resilience for yourself, your family, your friends, and all the first gen kids out there. I thank you for being the kind of people that I have been able to look up to because I couldn’t have gotten this far w/o you. I hope that there

is a decent alternative that can come from this but for now I am sorry. Please don’t let this make you feel unworthy or make you feel less than. You still did the damn thang! I know I am irrelevant but just know that I am so freaking proud of you
