I have a couple questions for the college students that are upset about not getting a stimulus check because their parents claim them:
1) what would you need the money for? Bills? What kind of bills?
2) To pay bills you must have income. So do you have a job? Or are your parents paying your bills and your expenses (groceries, gas, etc)?
3) Why are your parents claiming you if you have taxable income?
4) Has no one told you about the education tax credit that refunds you almost $2000/year if you have tuition payments other than scholarships (cash or loans) and file independently?
Y’all are mad at the government when you weren’t given the proper financial literacy tools when it comes to education.
