I& #39;m currently in Netherlands, isolating alone in my home, can& #39;t go back to my country. I& #39;ve just finished 3 months in my PhD, my institute/lab is closed and now I& #39;m working from home (at least trying!)

It is the start of my 3rd week in #quarantine/ #workingfromhome and at first I thought it may get easier and I& #39;ll get used to it but that& #39;s not the case

That weekend, I got the sad news about my grandma passing away (not corona related). So the second week did not start very well, couldn& #39;t focus to do anything almost all week. I tried to follow some online courses in the meantime.
Now this is the 3rd Monday and I really struggled to start working. Not sure if it is just the Monday syndrome or I don& #39;t want to work? I& #39;ll try to plan my days again now, we& #39;ll see if it& #39;s gonna work or not

I guess the main point is to understand and accept that it is not very easy to be far away from home/family in these times, not easy to always be productive and efficient when working from home. I feel everyone who& #39;s going through all kinds of feelings now.
In btw all of those feelings, everyday I feel so lucky to have supportive PI & labmates! We have video lunch meetings time to time and I feel like it really helps to stay positive&motivated

Also I& #39;m so grateful to have my family and friends just a phone/Facetime call away

I& #39;ll try to update this thread daily/weekly, may be that& #39;ll help me to stay motivated too! So everyone please #StayAtHome

Looks like I& #39;m terrible at updating this thread. On the bright side, I finally had a very productive week! I feel so happy now. If you& #39;re struggling like me I know how it feels, don& #39;t worry, don& #39;t overthink you can do this!
