Will go team by team w/ some more stats of note...

Not many good numbers w/ the Warriors, but they're 1 of 3 teams that rank in top 5 in both ball movement (389 passes per 24 min. of possession, 1st) & player movement (11.5 miles traveled per 24 min. of possession, 5th).
Bad: Knicks have been outscored by 11.2 ppg on 3s, 2nd worst discrepancy in 41 seasons of the 3-point line.

Only team in bottom 5 in both 3P% (33.7%, 27th) & 3PA/FGA (32%, 29th).

Also only team in bottom 5 in both opponent 3P% (38.1%, 29th) & opponent 3PA/FGA (41%, 27th).
Good Bulls...

Chicago has been league's most improved defensive team, allowing 108.9 points per 100 possessions (13th), 3.9 fewer than they allowed last season (112.8, 25th).
https://stats.nba.com/team/1610612741/advanced/?Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&Split=yoy

Have seen biggest jump in opponent TO% 2nd biggest drop in opponent 3P%.
Bulls have seen 9th biggest jump in points scored per 100 poss. & still rank 29th offensively for 2nd straight season.

They have 2 of the 3 least efficient scoring games of '19-20, 73 points on 96 poss. vs. CHA on 12.13 & 84 on 106 vs. TOR on 10.26. https://stats.nba.com/teams/boxscores-advanced/?sort=OFF_RATING&dir=-1&Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season
Defense is another story...

The Wizards are the only team that ranks in the bottom 5 in both opponent FG% in the paint (59.3%, 29th) & opponent effective FG% on shots from outside the paint (52.8%, 29th).
Continuing this team-by-team thread w/ the Suns, who (because they were so bad last season) rank among the most improved teams in a lot of stats...
AST% isn't necessarily an indicator of efficient offense, but passing is generally a good thing & the Suns lead league, having assisted on 66.6% of their FGs, w/ the league's biggest increase from last season (59.5%, 17th). https://stats.nba.com/teams/advanced/?sort=AST_PCT&dir=-1&Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season
Not good Suns: They're tied (w/ the Spurs) for the most losses (they're 22-13) after leading by double-digits.

Their 13-21 record in games that were within 5 in the last 5 has also hurt. They're 26-39 w/ the point differential of a team that's 29-36. https://stats.nba.com/teams/clutch-traditional/?sort=W_PCT&dir=-1&Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&PerMode=Totals
League-wide effective FG%...

Pull-up jumpers: 44.7%
Catch-and-shoot jumpers: 54.3%

via @SecondSpectrum
Elaborating on last tweet...

League wide...

Pull-up jumpers
FG%: 37.7%
eFG%: 44.7%
3PA/FGA: 43%

Catch-&-shoot jumpers
FG%: 37.6%
eFG%: 54.3%
3PA/FGA: 91%

FG% is essentially the same. But because catch-&-shoot are almost always 3s & pull-ups are mostly 2s, big diff. in eFG%.
Alas, despite those top 10 shooting numbers, Spurs rank 17th in eFG% & 11th in offensive efficiency, in part because only 58% of their shots, the league's lowest rate by a healthy margin, have come from the restricted area (26%, lowest rate) or 3-point range (32%, 3rd lowest).
Kings...

The Kings had seen the league's biggest improvement in winning % (.389 before, .700 after) & its 2nd biggest improvement in point differential per 100 possessions (-2.6, +3.1) from before the All-Star break to after it. https://stats.nba.com/team/1610612758/advanced/
On to Portland...

The Blazers rank 10th offensively overall, but have had the most efficient offense (111.4 points scored per 100 possessions in 20 games) vs. the league's top 10 defenses.

Just a hair better than the Celtics (111.4 in 22 games).
Continuing this thread w/ Orlando...

In Steve Clifford's 7 seasons as a head coach, this would be his 5th top-10 defense.

Good defense starts in transition. Only 13.6% of Orlando opponent possessions, the league's lowest rate, have been in transition: https://stats.nba.com/teams/transition/?sort=POSS_PCT&dir=-1&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&PerMode=Totals&TypeGrouping=defensive
Nets are Team Shot Location.

Brooklyn ranks 2nd in both...

Highest % of FGA that have come from the restricted area or 3-point range (79%)...

& lowest % of opponent FGA that have come from the R.A. or 3pt range (65%).

MIL (8th & 4th) & MIN (3rd & 9th) also in top 10 in both.
The Grizzlies are the only team without a win (they're 0-23) after trailing by 15 points or more.

They've outscored their opponents by 3.3 points per 100 possessions in the 1st quarter, but have been outscored in every other quarter. https://stats.nba.com/team/1610612763/advanced/?Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&Split=ingame
A couple of not-so-great stats about the Mavs' top-ranked offense...

They've seen league's 3rd biggest drop in free throw rate (FTA/FGA), from 0.291 (4th) last season to 0.257 (16th) this season.

Also, 55% of their turnovers, league's 3rd highest rate, have been live-ball TOs.
Continuing this thread w/ the Sixers.

Philly opponents have taken only 34% of their FGA, league's lowest rate, from 3-point range. & only 17% of their opponents' 3PA, also league's lowest rate, have come from the corners. Only team that's allowed fewer than 2 corner 3s per game.
Sixers have league's biggest diff. between their effective FG% in the 1st 6 seconds of the shot clock (63.7%, 3rd) & their eFG% thereafter (51.2%, 20th).

18% of their shots, league's 3rd highest rate, have come in the last 6 seconds of the shot clock.

Getting back to this thread w/ the Pacers...

T.J Warren is 1 of only 3 players (the other 2 are teammates) who have shot 70% or better on 200+ attempts in the restricted area & 50% or better on 100+ attempts elsewhere in the paint. https://go.nba.com/r9mo
Some Malcolm Brogdon shooting numbers in 2 tweets...

1. Brogdon has been assisted on 23.9% of his FG, down from 56.9% last season. That's the biggest drop (by a wide margin) among 218 players w/ 100+ field goals in each of the last 2 seasons. https://stats.nba.com/player/1627763/scoring/?Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&Split=yoy
2. Brogdon has seen the 5th biggest drop in eFG% (from 57.5% to 48.5%) among 200 players w/ 250+ FGA each of the last 2 seasons & the 3rd biggest drop in 3P% (from 42.6% to 31.3%) among 192 players w/ 100+ 3PA each of the last 2 seasons. https://stats.nba.com/player/1627763/advanced/?Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&Split=yoy
A not-so-good HOU note: Eric Gordon has an effective FG% of 41.9% on catch-&-shoot jumpers, the worst mark among 83 players who've attempted 200+.
https://stats.nba.com/players/catch-shoot/?sort=CATCH_SHOOT_EFG_PCT&dir=-1&CF=CATCH_SHOOT_FGA*GE*200&Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&PerMode=Totals

Gordon has shot 41.7% on pull-up 3s (best among players w/ 75 attempts) & just 28.0% on catch-and-shoot 3s.
Obviously, OKC's style of play has changed quite a bit...

The Thunder rank last in both fast break points (9.3) & second chance points (10.5) per game after ranking 5th (18.2) and 1st (15.5) last season. https://stats.nba.com/teams/misc/?sort=PTS_FB&dir=-1&Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season
Some Heat stats....

The Heat have both the best record in games played between East playoff teams (14-5) & in games within the top six (9-3).

They also have the 3rd best offense (110.6 points scored per 100 possessions in 24 games) vs. top-10 defenses.
The Heat have been at their best early in games, +13.4 pp100p in the 1st quarter & worse with each ensuing period: https://stats.nba.com/team/1610612748/advanced/?Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season&Split=ingame

Other side of that coin is that they're tied (with the 4-29 Pelicans) for the fewest wins (they're 4-22) after trailing by double-digits.
The Nuggets are tied for the most wins (they're 15-16) after trailing by double-digits. They're also 1 of 3 teams w/ winning records (DEN is 16-15) after trailing at the half.

https://stats.nba.com/standings/  (Change Section to Ahead/Behind).
Related to that last one - Millsap has the 3rd biggest on-off NetRtg differential among 218 players who have played at least 1,000 minutes.

With him on the floor, DEN has outscored its opponents by 11.3 pp100p. Off: -0.7. https://stats.nba.com/team/1610612743/onoffcourt-summary/?Season=2019-20&SeasonType=Regular%20Season
Back to this thread w/ the Celtics...

Celtics have had 2nd most efficient offense (111.4 pts. scored per 100 poss. in 22 games) vs. the league's top-10 defenses.

They've also had the best defense (106.0 pts. allowed per 100 poss. in 17 games) vs. the league's top-10 offenses.
