What if Tsukishima had one of those “anonymous” daily life/what I eat in a day YouTube vlog channels that ends up being decently popular?
He never shows his or his boyfriend’s face, and never reveals their names, and his channel is basically just videos of him cooking meals with the occasional quiet clip of errands or dates sprinkled in between. And he always ends up revealing SOMETHING (small) in his captions:
“Before this channel, since I’ve never had much of an appetite, cooking/eating meals x3 a day seemed a bit tedious to me.

Now, I somehow find it ridiculously therapeutic.

And not only have I become territorial over the kitchen but I also want to be praised for my efforts.. Ww”
“You might have noticed already but lately, we’ve been having a lot of fish.

Is it getting old, I wonder?

Diet regimes are never fun, I might have to buy vitamins instead for the sake of my own sanity.

Oi, King.. take responsibility, okay?”
I translate the captions from JPN -> ENG on my own.

When I made this channel, talks of us moving to the US for King’s job were being had so I thought to brush up on our ENG skills, but we decided to stay. Ah, well. Can’t be helped.

King~ you know meat is cheaper there, yes?”
“‘Comments are so funny’ I always think.

It seems many viewers think it’s cute that I call him ‘King’— many of you think it’s as if I wish to worship him as one. www

You all have gotten it wrong~”
“A royal secret I’ll reveal to you: King really enjoys doing laundry.

He does it all everyday. It’s not economically or environmentally friendly but if you saw how much he creates daily, you’d understand.

King~ thank you for taking charge of our water bill.”
“This week, King is away for work. On trips such as these, I usually tend to go with him but my own work prevents it.

‘Rather than being lonely, it’ll be nice to have some quiet time,’ I thought.

But I made too much for dinner again..

Ah, perhaps I do get lonely.”
“I took King to a super delicious udon restaurant that I tried with a colleague the other day.

‘Super’ and ‘delicious’ are not words I commonly use.

King ordered curry.

At this point, nothing really surprises me. Rather than being annoyed I had to go to the toilet to laugh”
“We both have been working very hard lately and only see each other for a bit at night.

Lately I’ve had such thoughts where I feel like I’ve taken his presence for granted. His head in my lap while we watch TV is enough for me now.

Am I ill?”
“For my birthday, King surprised me at work with my favorite cake.

He shyly greeted and congratulated me for the second time today and with that earnest expression, I suddenly was reminded of high school.

King, I still have your missing button.

I’m thankful for you.”
“We took a walk after dinner to help with digestion.

King suddenly turned to me and said, ‘The moon looks pretty tonight, doesn’t it?’

WWWWW who taught you that?

Your Majesty is also supposed to look at the moon before you say it.

But.. I guess it does.”
“King invited his colleagues over for dinner.

‘In our house? Where we live? Absolutely not.’ I said.

I was overruled.

I’m not used to cooking for more that two people. One of them commented that my cooking must be why King’s condition is so good..

How embarrassing...”
“I’ve been recovering from the flu and suddenly came upon the idea to bake a cake.

Without realizing it, I must have added salt when I meant to add sugar.

King had two slices and didn’t tell me. Are you stupid? Why did you even finish one slice? Why did you ask for more??”
“Holidays are a scary time. Even more so since King’s birthday is also around that time.

In a lot of ways, he’s not hard to please. But I still find myself wanting to do something he’ll really enjoy; to give him something no one else can or will.

How competitive of me.”
“King often helps me in the kitchen and I wonder if other couples have run into this dilemma..

We disagree on how thick things should be chopped.

I guess it depends on the dish. But other than that, if you too prefer things thickly cut, please exit this video and unsubscribe.”
“I see these comments at least once every video so I might as well address it...

It’s not that I’m particularly fond of frogs enough to have these kitchen decorations. I neither love nor hate them.

The people who call themselves my ‘friends’ just think it’s funny.”
“I listen to a lot music as I go about my day; I like to think that I’m quite knowledgeable about it.

So it pisses me off to no end when King, who doesn’t have an ear for it, manages to get a song stuck in my head.

Isn’t PPAP an old joke already??”
“Meal times have somehow become very important to me. Food tastes better when you have company. So when King’s away, I find myself searching for flavor— things suddenly taste bland.

You must feel the same, right?

I’ll wait for you. Let’s eat together. Hurry up and come home.”
“When you’re away I think about how you like to wash the rice 10 times, and how you’ve never finished a cup of coffee in your life.

I think about how you wait by the toaster until it rings, and how long it takes for your hair to dry.”
“I think about how you always wake me up on my off-days just to say good-bye, and how you nag me to go to bed at the same time as you.

I think about how you always eat the new things I make with no hesitation, and how big your bites are.”
“I think about that face you make when I tease you, and the one for when you eat something delicious.

I think about how you hardly ever cry when something awful happens in real life, but how you can’t stand sad scenes in movies.”
“I think about how I can’t tell which sweater belongs to who, but how I know which fork and chopsticks in our utensil drawer are your favorites.”
“You often tell me that I think far too much for my own good. But I guess I need something to distract me from the blare of the silence you leave behind.”
“But the thinking does me good because it makes me realize that one can be homesick even if they never step a foot out of their front gate.

You are my home, King. This is merely our castle.”
