So Frank's top 3 have been selected:

We now need the middle order batsmen at 4 and 5 and a keeper/batsman at 6. Selection in a couple of days .

Frank's No. 4 is Joe Blackledge.
Joe was a rh bat and in 17 seasons through the 50's and 60's he scored 7000 runs at an ave. of 39 with 6 centuries.
In 1962 he was plucked from Chorley to become the last amateur captain of Lancashire CC and later became President of LCCC
No.5 is current players favourite Nigel Heaton.
Nigel was a class rh bat. A product of the Bolton Lge he was good all round the wkt and sound in the field. He scored 6811 league runs at 33 in 15 years at the club. He also represented and captained the league conference side.
No. 6 and wicket keeper is Neil Senior
Neil was another product of the Bolton league who played at CCC for 12 seasons. His keeping was excellent and was a game changer with the bat very destructive when necessary but equally solid if the situation demanded scoring 3800 runs at 27
So time to select some bowlers and the restriction on CCC pro's excludes legendary players such as Keith Eccleshare, Oliver Demming and many others, as well as home grown Tom Smith and Gaurav Dhar so who will Frank select ?
At No.7 Peter Deakin . He was a batting all rounder who bowled tidy off spin and was an excellent fielder. He played in the winning Lords Finals but left the club to take a teaching post at Charterhouse and played several years for Dorset in the Minor Counties Competition.
No.8 Gordon Lee from Eccleston was a fine seam bowling all rounder with good variations who took 80 league wickets along with many in the National Cup leading to the Lords Finals. He also made many valuable contribution with bat. Another good in the field.
No 9. Ed Moulton. The only current player to make the cut, Ed is a product of CCCs excellent Junior set up. A fast bowling all rounder he has already taken over 200 1st team wickets and scored nearly 2000 runs. He was rewarded with his first contract with Lancashire CC in 2019.
So 2 more places up for grabs. Final 2 bowlers announced on Friday
#CCC
No.10 is John Rossall. John was an excellent slow left-arm bowler through the 60s and 70s who took 319 wickets at an average of 14. He also bagged 15 five wicket hauls.
No. 11 is Billy Smith. A quick left arm opening bowler Billy took 330 1st team wickets at an average of 20. He was also an excellent close to the wicket fielder. He last played for the 3Cs in 2015
So Frank Henry's final 11 is:
James Fazackerley
John Kearsley
Roland Horridge (c)
Joe Blackledge
Nigel Heaton
Neil Senior (wk)
Peter Deakin
Gordon Lee
Edwin Moulton
John Rossall
Billy Smith

Thanks to Frank for digging into his memory bank.
