Is it weird that I find myself doing better in quarantine?
Since September, I& #39;ve been working and going to school. I love my job. I get to work with kids and it& #39;s great!
In December, I had to cut down the amount of time I worked to 2 days because I was taking 19 credits. I started to fall behind in school because I was taking such a heavy course load. At work, I noticed that I had much shorter patience and I got stressed out more easily.
Mind you, I had wanted to put in my 2 week notice since October since I wasn& #39;t sure how I was going to work AND go to school. At times, it was a lot, but I& #39;m glad I stuck around. I put in my notice 2 weeks ago (but my work closed due to the virus last week).
So here I am, spring quarter is finally over, I& #39;m not working anymore. I found myself crying a lot just because of how stressed out I was. I needed a break big time. Now, I& #39;m social distancing at home. I& #39;ve been at it for 2 weeks now and it& #39;s been so great.
I picked up yoga, I& #39;ve been sleeping more, I& #39;ve cooked meals, I& #39;ve started reading a good book, been watching shows (maybe some binging here and there). But most importantly, I feel relaxed for the first time in a while. I feel like I can breathe and move around in my head more.
So, my friends, if you are stressed out in these weird, uncertain times, I urge you to talk to someone. I& #39;ll be an ear you can fill if you need someone to talk to! I can even just recommend some songs, recipes, or movies. I love all of you guys!
