There are a lot of people rewriting history already. China lied and misled the international community for months. Very few people realized how bad this would be before late-February.

The Imperial College report that freaked everyone out didn't come out until mid-March.

Now that doesn't mean that several politicians didn't screw up by downplaying it in late Feb and early March (Trump, De Blasio etc.) and the FDA/CDC really screwed up by wasting all of Feb without testing progress.

But don't pretend people knew in December what we were facing.

With that said, we have adjusted to the reality of the threat we face and are doing the right thing now to win the war against this virus. A lot of progress has been made, and victory is achievable.
