Who is Bryan Edwards?

Thread starts now
From my bro

“Broke a bone in his foot training at Exos the combine was his chance to really wake people up

shoulda been a

10’7 broad
39 vert
18 reps 225
4.46-4.51

At the combine: 6’3” 213

Gonna be a steal whoever pick him up. I almost think the practices too hard haha”
Continued:
“Bro he did some freaky shit in practice and games. Changes direction extremely well. One of the best hands catchers I’ve ever seen. Methodical route runner its almost a self governor for his speed. Multiple times hes hit 21/22. What Deebo hit for us in season as well”
What i wanted to know was.. Who is Edwards? How does he win? We watched Ruggs last night.. He has to win with speed.. we didnt really see that vs LSU. Win how you win.. Edwards is a big dog and wins as such.. Film starting now!
1st play of the Alabama game. Last night i tweeted this video laughing and said "wtf".. that was my exact reaction to this play lol Look at Bamas coaches.. i think they had the same reaction as me lol and Surtain isnt a little cb
I wasnt paying attention to Edwards size until that play.. i was like damn how big is this dude.. 6'3" 213 at the combine.. my bro said he was 217 at South Carolina .. big dog.. so i know he'll likely win the big dog way
1 step slant. Im big on moving the cb but if the cb is going to give you free access inside.. take it
Up top.. obviously didnt get the rock here but im paying more attention to how he moves. Nice quickness and burst at the LOS... No separation but again im just trying to see what kind of fluidity he has. I think that looked good.. Doesnt look like a big stiff guy
Nice slant here. Doesn't allow the cb to get hands on. Catches the ball. Finishes strong. I like it.. play big
Up top.. Again looking at how he moves. I think for his size he has really good play speed. Fluid mover.. Doesnt look like hes lumbering. Doesnt look sluggish
WR2 spot up top.. Nice little subtle move at the top of the route to get the safety to open up and then work across "face" if he didnt speed turn.. Nice route downfield .. and hes not a speedster so these are the little things id like to see with his route running
Up top. Good job working to widen the cb and then comeback underneath him.. Good stuff.. nice change up.. Even though hes not the fastest vertical threat hes still able to get the cb to respect his vertical threat enough to speed turn at the LOS. Really nice route running
Up top being guarded by Diggs. Does a good job with defeating press without letting cbs get hands on. Ive said he's not a speedster but looks like he can still get behind a cb. I'd like to see him run under that.. probably the difference between 4.45 and 4.50
AT the bottom

Here he's just working his release.. draw play but i always say i like watching receivers work their chatters on run plays. They are a little looser too so you can see a little more if there's extra in the bag.. legit quickness there.. definitely not stiff lol
Looked like he worked that same release again.. free play.. I think he could've gave his QB more space and then fade to the ball but he's a big guy so i want to at least see him come down with the ball and he did.. i like that..try to stack the qb tho and then fade
They couldn't get him down lol now ideally i need him to push that route up another yard. Good job by Diggs dictating the route depth. Clean break by Diggs too. Edwards is a big dog though. Doesn't go down easily
I was confused here.. Like did he jump into the safety on purpose lol Nice burst to get around the edge.. finish with power. He plays alot like Deebo Samuel. But like a 6'3" version.
Another end around. Some more leak yardage. About 9 yards after first contact
Some more good route running. Good strong move.. strongs hands.. attack outside leverage.. get Diggs to speed turn. I like it. Now they had a bracket on him but im watching it and noting what he has in his bag
Ideally here i'd say push up more vertically and then comeback inside for the slant but on 3rd and short he does the job.. first down catch!!
This is a route!... up top.. Get that corner moving.. Attack outside.. come back inside.. violent hands and sit down the route.. I like it.. nice powerful release
Nice block but stay with it. 49ers broke off huge chunk runs.. go watch their receivers.. Bourne.. Sanders.. Deebo.. even little Richie James.. those dudes stayed on their blocks. Stay with it
Nice release.. still not letting guys get hands on.. nice strong move at the top of the route to create separation. Again.. win how you win and win consistently and i think he wins often, how he wins. If that makes sense lol quickness and power
There we go... stayed on the block this time.. Push that little ass db over lol.. last clip from the Bama game
Up top

Here we go. Some more good comp.. I said he wins with quickness and power. Be consistent. That he is. Quick off the line.. top of the route win with power. For someone who's not a blazer that's 4 yards of separation... cb on skates on a curl WITH safety help
I think ideally he wants to get more north and south.. Good pursuit by Georgia.. thats what happens when you play good teams lol Still puts his foot in the ground to get north.. strong finish but Georgia got them off the field
Move the sticks. Coo lil stem to get the cb outside leverage.. Madden possession catch.. held down A lol
Ill end on this clip. When you run double moves my standard for winning is high.. You have to win on this route. Its set up for you to win.. he Won. Touchdown Edwards and ill end the film on that and give my analysis
Win how you win. And that he does. I think that level of physicality combined with his quickness and nuanced route running translates to the NFL.. i love it. Would've been nice to see him test at the combine but i like his film a lot. I can clearly see how he fits in an offense
What worries me sometimes is when a guy wins a certian way but its not consistent. That's when you see guys who bust. #pause. These are the only 2 films ive seen of him. Looking forward to watching more. No highlights though yall.. they lie.. stop sending them to me lol
Oh.. Pro comp.. IDK why this guy popped in my head but James Jones. I think he's that type of receiver.. could be wrong but yeah..
