One of the most reckless articles I've seen on #dataownership & #personaldata monetization, using #COVID19 to promote #blockchain-enabled, "smart contract"-enforced sales of personal data in a "commodity exchange," brought to you by the @wef (of course)

"We could see the value of data than defined by a commodity exchange, not unlike what we have for oil markets, setting the value of data for specific use cases so that the owners get paid at the moment of consumption." Where has the @wef been, still pushing "data-as-oil" really?
Contrary to the article's title (a "new commodity market"), there is nothing new or innovative about this. It would merely sanction the toxic business models that we've allowed to emerge, that have wreaked havoc on individual & civic life. + #COVID19 on top amplifies the danger.
The @wef is propagating #DisasterCapitalism through articles like this.
