A bus ticket paid in change. A mask covering his face and baseball cap pulled down low. Shoes worn down from sprinting away from the mansion before his father's guards could notice.

It was all worth it. Jungkook stepped off the bus, and began looking around. https://twitter.com/TheSaltiestBean/status/1244094122979282945
His phone was turned off to reduce the chance of tracking. Taehyung had told him to meet around the bus stop, but he hadn't said exactly where.

You could never be too cautious.
Jungkook looked around curiously, searching for a familiar head of dark hair, or maybe one of his friends - Yoongi or Jimin, always smiling when Jungkook was around-

Someone bumped into him from behind. A hand lightly took him by the arm.
"Don't turn around. Walk with me," Taehyung said softly.

Jungkook's heart kicked in his chest, but he kept his head down and expression neutral. Taehyung led him away from the crowds and into a quiet alley, the smell of motor oil heavy in the air.
Taehyung moved a few cardboard boxes out of the way, revealed a door that was almost invisible to the untrained eye. Jungkook quickly scuttled inside as Taehyung held the door open, the clang of the deadbolt ringing behind him.
Jungkook turned around, already peeling his facemask off. Taehyung did the same, and looked at him with a smile - childish grin contradicting his leather jacket and bruised knuckles.

"Hi."

"Hi."
Jungkook couldn't resist any longer. He surged forward, cupping Taehyung's face with his hands as he crashed their lips together. The older man let out a muffled sound of surprise, wrapping his arms around Jungkook's waist, the boy's feet almost entirely leaving the ground.
They both gasped as they broke apart. "Miss me that much, baby?" Taehyung asked, looking lovingly into Jungkook's eyes.

"You have no idea."
