Instead of centralising, decentralise it @narendramodi. Unleash India's full capacity. From Gram Panchayat level to Loksabha. Make PoC & resource person at each local body level. Let them make a list of migrants, their contact details & current location from their villages. 1/n

It can be done in a day & passed on to district authorities. Let the Disaster Management Cell in each district act as coordination point for knowing about the migrant whereabouts. Let us ensure that not a single one of our citizen is left unattended on the roads to die. 2/n

Ask the local bodies to identify a possible isolation/quarantine home at each village. We know that we do not have adequate hospital facilities. So please do not fool public with false promises. Be transparent and ask them to plan at village level. 3/n

Do not listen to those bureaucrats who will give you just administrative solutions to this. This is a collective issue and make use of the larger three tier local governance structure that we have. If you can take them on board, you will have a x1000 force multiplier. 4/n

Ensure that you have people who are critical of you around you. You need their feedback at this juncture. Who have nothing to gain by being on your good books. Others are all just yes men, who will laugh, but won't tell you that radars have nothing to do with cloud. 5/n

We are in for a long and difficult year. Whatever may happen, do not let the Rabi crops go waste. That is the only source of food and income in most villages. Talk to the farmers, identify the labourers and ensure necessary precautions are taken before harvesting begins. 6/n

The way you have created fear among public about the virus, it has generated a lot of stigma. People won't come out and get tested for the fear of being ostracised. Not just socially, but economically as well. Start deconstructing that stigma. 7/n

Be transparent. This war we are not fighting with an external enemy. Propaganda is not the way to go. This we can fight only by being truthful to ourselves. Share the district wise details of treatment capacity every day. Let LSGs verify these claimed capacity additions. 8/n

Once the migrant labourers reach back their villages, the next big crisis is going to be of hunger. Take over all the ration-shops/Fair price shops and put it in the hands of LSGs. Remove Aadhaar & other verification requirement during this period. Also, make it universal. 9/n

Identify nearby buildings of hospitals which can be used to augment capacity in each district. Not just for space for additional beds. But for the stay of doctors, nurses and other paramedical staff. Also for stay of relatives who will be accompanying patients. 11/n

Well, there are many more such thoughts that come to mind. But just one last suggestion to conclude dear PM @narendramodi. Create a team that is unafraid to criticise you and your policies. Otherwise your apology is worth nothing to those who are dead because of your incompetence
