I like this pattern. No elastic, with pocket for inserting filter. After reviewing many, this was the easiest I found.

I like to stitch over the edge on top of the pleats twice.

Here's another easy pattern. (I am not posting every one.. Just the simplest designed with pocket insert capability)

And a relatively easy pattern for HEPA filter mask if you have the material.
