Kuroo glances at the smaller of the two sitting against the wall, their knees tucked into their chest as they make their way through the current game mission given to them on their switch. +
Kuroo and Kenma has been at the latter’s house since school ended. Kuroo working on homework and Kenma working on their game. But now Kuroo was done with Chemistry and was currently focused on Kenma’s hands. +
Were they always that small? Or is the speed of their fingers moving on the controls making them seem smaller? Whatever it is, Kuroo hadn’t realized it until now. +
“What is it?” A soft voice stops his stare. Kuroo looks up at Kenma’s face, they were looking at him in concern. “You were zoning out.” They specify when Kuroo furrows his eyebrows at the question. Kenma’s hands were stalled, Kuroo could only assume they had paused it. +
Kuroo looks up at the ceiling, suppressing a blush as he tries to come to terms with the fact that he was caught staring. “I’m just tired,” He avoids, tucking his hands under his head and closing his eyes. +
Kenma is silent as they watch Kuroo try to sleep. It was weird, Kuroo hadn’t seemed tired just moments ago. He was raving about going to the Cat Cafe to take advantage of the after school deals just an hour ago while working on homework. What changed? +
Kenma chews on the inside of their cheek, making a split decision. They unpause the game, getting to a good point before saving it and shutting it off. Kuroo still has his eyes shut. Kenma sighs, scooting over and laying down on their side next to Kuroo. +
Kuroo blinks his eyes open, acknowledging that Kenma laid down but not looking at them. It was quiet, comfortable. Kenma copies Kuroo, turning on their back and watching the ceiling, their hands were splayed on their stomach. +
Kuroo takes a quick glance before turning on his side and looking at Kenma’s hands again.
He chews on the inside of his lip, not knowing if he should take a chance. Squeezing his eyes shut, he reasons that Kenma won’t pull away and rather would probably just question him. +

He reaches for Kenma’s wrist.
“Huh?” Kenma looks to Kuroo as he places their hands together, palm to palm.
“I knew it!” Kuroo exclaims, chuckling to himself. Kenma squints in confusion, letting him examine their hands. “Your hands are so small compared to mine, Kitten!” +

Kuroo smiles, looking to Kenma. The tips of their fingers barely reached past the middle of Kuroo’s.
Kenma blinks, looking away as a blush covers their face. “Aww, c’mon!” Kuroo whines, slowly intertwining their fingers together. +

He grins as he pulls on their arm, the sudden tug making Kenma roll onto Kuroo’s chest. They bury their head into his shirt.
“Didn’t know a nickname could make you so flustered, Kitten,” Kuroo teases, squeezing Kenma’s hand. +

“Shut up,” Kenma mumbles, shifting to get comfy on top of Kuroo. “Are you actually tired? Or do you still wanna go to the cafe?” They change the subject, closing their eyes. +
Kuroo hums, brushing his free hand up and down Kenma’s back, almost putting them to sleep. “We can go tomorrow, I’m comfortable.”
“Me too,” Kenma whispers as Kuroo lets go of their hand and wraps his arms around Kenma’s body.
