• THREAD OF RESOURCES/HANDOUTS FROM MY ED RECOVERY TEAM •

i really really hope this will help some of you, or at least give some insight and enlightenment 🥺🥺 i love you all v much and you deserve to be happy and recover <3
1) binging:

3) psychoeducation - the minnesota starvation experiment (p1)
3a) psychoeducation - the minnesota starvation experiment (p2)

(ignore the ticks on the last page, they were part of an activity x)
4) purging:
4a) the risks of bulimia:
5) body image (p1)
this is very important and i suggest u hav a read as it has helped me a lot xx
5a) body image (p2)
5b) body image (p2)
6) MASTERLIST OF DISTRACTIONS: for when u feel the urge to binge, purge, selfharm, bodycheck, etc.

please ignore the scribbles on the taste section!! i crossed it out bc i was being stupid and disordered but it definitely does help with non-ed related urges (like c*tting)
7) "diets" and binging:
8) the effects of undereating

disclaimer: my therapist (and many many other medical professionals!!) have made it clear that this applies to ANYONE who is undereating and malnourished REGARDLESS OF WEIGHT!!
9) the energy graph:

our abnormal eating habits cause unnatural spikes in blood sugar; this leads to an unending vicious cycle of binging and restricting (and is made way worse if you purge too, as that causes a decrease in blood sugar)
10) we tend to feel "fat" in 2 different scenarios:

- hyper body awareness: this is after eating, where we feel full/bloated or thru bodychecking behaviour

- after something bad/emotionally distressing has happened: we project our negative feelings on our bodies
11) just a few extras, these r all activities that were given to me :))
i rlly hope this helps even a little bit!! pls pls stay safe lovelies, you really do matter <3
