Day #1 of the 60 day meditation challenge @naval

Taking the cue from @harristhedean

Very difficult.
thoughts and feelings running amok.
To find a suitable posture for 60 mins.
Was it good or bad ? To continue and see where it leads to.

Found a vivid long lost memory.

So 60 days flew by in a whif. Honestly did not expect to complete this.

Anyways seems like people like some gyan to read regarding others progress or maybe not.

But here goes a simple update on what happened during these 60 days and what are the takeaways if any.
Physical considerations :

Sitting posture : after a few days of wriggling through various postures, went back to basics and settled on simple lotus posture.

Erect back and on a couch to reduce numbness in feet.
Time :

I prefer doing it in the night mainly because i am more of a night owl, less distractions and its like my end of day mental massage.
Eating habits :

Since starting this, much more focus on what goes into the body.

And a light dinner which was perfect for the session.

Social drinking and heavy foods made it extremely difficult to get through a few final sessions.
Distractions :

Monkey mind. - breathing in out in 1:2 ratio to calm myself.

A certain amount of physical discomfort. - changed positions in-between to be comfortable.

Checking the clock : did it if the need came without feeling guilty. Gave no importance to it and got back.
What did i learn ?

Honestly i have no clue. There was moments where i felt what i felt whereas most of the times were just meh.

It was an opportunity that came at the right moment during the lockdown thanks to @harristhedean and @naval for showing me this door.
What you need to learn ?

Reading progress reports is a kind of mental masturbation.

Do it for yourself. May give insights or none.

As said earlier, my experiences count for zilch. You'll have to experience it yourself.

If you 'need' to know how fire feels, touch it yourself.
