There’s only one mediator, folks, and he’s made *all* of us priests.
To deny the priesthood of all believers is to deny a fundamental reality under the new covenant and to deeply misunderstand the work of Christ. Unmediated access to God is a cornerstone of the new covenant.
The NT has MUCH to say about ordering the church according to gifts, offices, and callings, so the conspicuous absence of “priest” as an office in the new covenant should arrest our attention. The veil is torn. There is one mediator. Christ is present with ALL his people.
The function of the leadership offices described in the New Testament are almost always administrative/organizational and/or instructive in nature, and rarely, if ever, meditative. We all have access in Christ by one Spirit to the Father.
