A vaccine trial that will possibly infect a set number of healthy patients as opposed to the usual large scale clinical trials

This is interesting because of the quick results you can get.

The author analyses and explains most questions people will have regarding this
Vaccines are always a tricky one. Personal opinion is they are good and the evidence doesn't lie. Not sure if this will change the stance of many anti-vaccers though ๐Ÿคจ
Using blood from survivors instead of vaccines.

This isn't new and article states it has been used in the SARS AND EBOLA outbreaks

Not clear if this has started but it's something i want to follow up on

This treatment if used will focus on patients that are most likely to have exasperated symptoms or outcomes.

It's really interesting reading the differnt approaches being used

So vaccines vs plasma use as treatment ๐Ÿค”
Ohhh another cool thing is that the UK want to roll out at home covid-19 testing kits that will be sold online

Idk why people have to buy it and there isn't an effort just to get more people tested to be used for future research.

For the general public washing hands and distance looks like the most sensible option

Maybe only use masks going into crowded spaces

need to fully read the paper above to properly communicate what it means to me. But what this shows that infection may not provide you with immunity but instead provide some form of protection in having severe disease. The human studies will be really interesting !
Not directly corona related but interesting read. I need to properly understand how research is done in Africa and the "heavy weight" countries.

Article summarises how access to lab materials has been easier during covid-19 but intl community also being a tad restrictive.
