A vaccine trial that will possibly infect a set number of healthy patients as opposed to the usual large scale clinical trials

Vaccines are always a tricky one. Personal opinion is they are good and the evidence doesn't lie. Not sure if this will change the stance of many anti-vaccers though

Using blood from survivors instead of vaccines.
This isn't new and article states it has been used in the SARS AND EBOLA outbreaks

Ohhh another cool thing is that the UK want to roll out at home covid-19 testing kits that will be sold online
Idk why people have to buy it and there isn't an effort just to get more people tested to be used for future research.

As the post above willl most likely be my last post on covid for a while, @britsocimm have amazing resources on their site catering to different audiences. I will still posts reads i think are interesting.
It's been nice following my ideas through lol. Hope you found this thread useful and as always share with whoever you feel will like it. Dms are also open if anything i said wasn't clear

need to fully read the paper above to properly communicate what it means to me. But what this shows that infection may not provide you with immunity but instead provide some form of protection in having severe disease. The human studies will be really interesting !

Not directly corona related but interesting read. I need to properly understand how research is done in Africa and the "heavy weight" countries.
Article summarises how access to lab materials has been easier during covid-19 but intl community also being a tad restrictive.
