Times are tough and they’ll probably get worse.

Starting today, I’m going to thread together some things I’m grateful for. Anything at all. Dwell on the positives.

Today, for my first post, I’m dedicating it to coffee. The fuel for working from home through all of this.
Day two: Books

I mostly use a kindle now, but definitely thankful for books. I used to hear a book could take you anywhere, and when I’m confined to an apartment I’m grateful that saying is true.

Anybody reading anything good this quarantine session?
Day three: Spring

I forgot to get a screenshot earlier, but as always spring brings sun, light breezes, and perfect temperatures. Today I was thankful for the spring weather and more to come!
Day four: Girl Scouts cookies

I found this box tucked away in the freezer today and oh boy ... what a treasure.
Day five: working with and being friends of @TheFoodDood

Dave is a wizard when it comes to food, and he’s got the best food scoops in town. He also taught me how to make refried beans (it’s ridiculously easy) and that is quickly becoming a staple in my quarantine diet.
Day five: continued

I was thinking about the informal cooking lesson as I made some refried beans to go with my eggs this morning. Refried beans don’t photograph well, so you get the picture of Dave instead.
Day six (delayed): Sunsets

I tried to take a photo on my phone yesterday but it pales in comparison to the work of my talented colleague @sarahcphipps so just enjoy her photos of the same sunset instead!
Day seven: Tacos!

I was going to hold off on food posts for awhile on this thread but I made these tacos for dinner and I was extremely grateful for the full four minutes it took to devour them all.
