Staring at the stars is looking at history... it takes years for the light to reach the earth, so it is looking into the past. This is analogous to the issue with confirmed cases of COVID-19 as those are cases that were contacted at least two weeks ago or more.
So what were you doing two to 4 weeks ago and all points inbetween? This is why social distancing measures matter. As cases spread, the odds of transmission grow. Problem is you can contract and spread the virus without knowing.
Reducing our contacts over the next several weeks will help slow the spread, but we won’t know the effects of social distancing for a couple weeks to a month. Hence the need to stay vigilant and maintain social distancing. http://dhhs.ne.gov/Pages/Coronavirus.aspx
I ❤️ science teachers! Keep up the good work across Nebraska to slow the spread of COVID-19 and #FlattenTheCurve #WashYourHands
