I don't think people understand this isn't a vacation or a trial run. We have 3 weeks to get this right the first time or (more) people will die. Italy has buried over 8 000 people in one month. We're already a traumatised nation, now imagine
Imagine not being able to say goodbye to your loved ones, because you aren't allowed to be in the Covid isolation wards. They will die ALONE. We won't be allowed to prepare their bodies for burial. We might not be allowed to bury them. And people are still playing with fire.
At this moment, YOU DON'T KNOW whether you have it or not. You can still spread it though.
We all need to act like we have this virus and stay at home for the 21 days (if you can/ aren't deemed essential service worker)
People who were flocking to other provinces were talking about 'it was a hard choice'. It was also a hard choice to stay. If anything happens to my family, I physically can't go home. I can't say goodbye. But now imagine I'd gone and I inadvertently took the virus to them.
Also, ‘young healthy’ people who think they’ll bounce back from this and won’t get too sick: when was your last HIV test? Do you really truly know if you have any underlying health issues? How sure are you? 😟
