Creating this thread mainly cause I’m getting loads of reading done now that I’m home all the time and I kinda want to keep track of it!

I know it’s literally EOD Thursday, but shhh don’t tell anyone, but 3/5 of these books I’m actually halfway through in (I’m trying to finish all my books by OWLs okay!) So I think I can finish most of these by EOD Monday!

First photo is my official TBR that must be completed (Career: “Trader of Magical Tomes”
) & the second are extra books I’ve picked in case I magically have time to partake in the magical shop management & merpeople linguistics seminars!

Since #Siren is returning to our TV screens in the same time as #owlsreadathon2020, I channeled my inner Helen Hawkins in picking the career/seminars!
I just read my History of Magic tome (“Practical Magic”) for 2 and a half hours!! That’s the most I’ve ever read a book in one sitting!

#owlsreadathon2020

Also I’m taking this “Mr Halliwell” character as a connection to the #Charmed series. One of Penny’s husbands perhaps?

Heads up! There’s about to be loads of “wannabe bookstagram-like” posts from me, while I get caught up on my reading threads

I’m super excited to watch the film adaptation of “Practical Magic” after so many years!! (especially since I wasn’t that big of a fan of the book
) #owlsreadathon2020

Anyone that’s doing both #owlsreadathon2020 & #stayathomereadingrush...are you guys reading books that you’re also doing for your OWLs/ones you’ve started for their prompts at all?
Tenth Girl & Remember Me are my confirmed reads (although I’m halfway through that one...shhh). If I have time to do TWTWB. I’ll do that one too. Don’t wanna stress myself out since I’m still working on #owlsreadathon2020 #stayhomereadingrush
“I like shiny things, but I’d marry you with paper rings.”
“Remember Me” giving me all the “Paper Rings” vibes & I love it!! #stayhomereadingrush

My roommate knows I’m busy reading so she handed me a glass of wine & was all “let me know if you need anything else ma’am!”
#stayhomereadingrush

Finished with my #stayhomereadingrush read!
If you love ghost stories & beautiful (+ v. haunted) hotel settings...omg is “Remember Me” a book for you!! Nothing but amazing things to say about this book!

Next up: read Tenth Girl (got a decent start to it & boy will this book be a struggle to get through. I wanted to love it SO bad!) And of course finish my #owlsreadathon2020 reads! (1/4 complete!)
Decided to read my MerPeople Linguistics read today!

Here’s hoping I can finish before the end of OWLs!
#owlsreadathon2020

Just completed my Transfiguration read and boy was this book a “taill”!(2/4 exams done!)

#owlsreadathon2020

I honestly don’t think I’ll ever think of “Little Mermaid” the same again
Started my second optional read for my “Magical Shop Management” seminar! I might actually finish 6 books by the end of #owlsreadathon2020!!

Last day of #owlsreadathon2020! AKA: I spend the whole day finishing all the books/exams I need to complete (why do I do this every year?!)
Little less than 7 hours to finish these 3 books for #owlsreadathon2020. About ~90-80 pages left in each. LET’S DO THIS!

Ancient Runes Exam is finished!

Set in Chicago & features supernatural creatures?! Loved this book, v. cute read! AND I completed all my required reads!! (4/4 exams completed) #owlsreadathon2020

Just a couple hours left & I should have time to finish my extra seminar read? #owlsreadathon2020
Arithmacy Exam for my Magical Shop Management Seminar is FINISHED...and boy was this book a struggle for me. (5/4 exams completed!) I surpassed my reading goal!
#owlsreadathon2020

While I’m a bit sad that I didn’t complete my merpeople linguistics exam (A Midnight Lie), I’m glad I at least started it and glad I did as well as I did with my #owlsreadathon2020. Next up is MERMAY for me!
I’m not partaking in a readathon or anything, but I’m starting a new tradition for myself to read any mermaid/siren related books for the entire month of May!
If I read one great, if I read them all, even better!

Since I read "Practical Magic" as part of my OWLs, I watched the movie last night (it's been years since I last saw it). And I hate to say it, but I think this is the rare instance where the movie was better then the book

Last year I finished @megcabot’s “Insatiable” on #WorldDraculaDay and this year I finish its sequel, “Overbite”?! If I somehow do this again next year w/ another Dracula related book...there’s something going on here...

Sooo...I may have just gotten a bookstagram (first time using insta too!) But I can’t think of a good name! I’d love to somehow ref Simon Vs., Midnight Lie or just wlw books in general...but I can’t think of anything!
Okay, I think I’ve settled on my bookstagram name being “readgayly”

I’ll still be posting some of the books I’ve read on this thread...but I’ll prob more consistently there?
