It took until March 26th but I can now say that I actually know someone who tested positive for coronavirus and is hospitalized. Not someone I’m too close with, but someone I’ve hung out with more than once.

It took until April 5th but I can now say that I know someone who has died from coronavirus. A high school classmate who apparently had other underlying conditions, but had been generally fine before catching it.

Now April 6th and members of my wife's family (aunt and uncle) have been diagnosed. Their symptoms are mild at this point (lost sense of smell/taste, body aches, and a cough) and apparently started last week.

Another update. The friend mentioned in the first tweet in this thread from March 26th was put on a ventilator on April 1st, and the last update I saw from April 5th was that he's doing worse.
