The following may end up just being a bunch of images, seemingly strewn together, but I'll try to keep it chronological... and possibly informative?
...but mostly fun...

(I hope I don't too make any errors )
Here goes...

2008: SHINee debut...
누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)
산소 같은 너 (Love like Oxygen)
Classic, soft boy band swept fringe.
Very much of its time.

... Welcome...to the SHINee World...

2009: Romeo
The Juliette look was not too much a change in cut...but styling...

2009: Y.O.U
The South Korean national anthem is released to the world
"Ring Ding Dong"... Lasagne hair Jjong
LEGENDARY!

Early 2010: "Hello Baby"
The Lasagne legacy continued...
But returned to a deep brown by the end of the show.
Ready for the next comeback ... is this the reality you wanted?

2010: her whisper is the "Lucifer" ...
Similar to the Juliette styling of the previous year... But longer and more...angry...? Contrasting with the later repackage of "Hello" which seemed to return almost to debut look.

2011: Japan Debut...
"The First" very similar again... Perhaps a slightly lighter chocolate brown?

2012: Sherlock...
Because, I'm so curious... Yeah.
...I think there's some fringe extensions going on there...

2013: a major year for Jonghyun's hair... A turning point you could say...
We had "Surprise Vacation" and also the Misconceptions series in Korea
("Dream girl" & "Why so serious")
Plus, their Japanese release, "Dazzling girl".

2013 was also the year our Jjong realised, that he was a natural blonde.
With the release of "Everybody" the Classic, Platinum blonde Jonghyun, was born...this was SUCH a look.

Still 2013 and another Japanese album
"Boys meet u"
The album cover and Photobook still had the highlighted brown of earlier months... By the time the single and music video were released... He was THAT Blonde.

2014 began with SHINee World 3...he was still Platinum...
This changed for the next Japanese comeback "I'm your boy"
A less harsh blond, retuning to choppy up style.

This look also appeared in the "Downtown Baby" music video... Along with a bandana for some shots.

The next release from 2014s "I'm your boy" was" Your Number".
The tone was a much darker, ash blonde... The photoshoot styling was smooth and sleek... With a swept fringe.

The music video for the track was, however, changed up somewhat.
There's scenes with a slight wave and pleasant, soft texture has been added...and other scenes where it is again brushed away from his face, adding to the sexy image of the dance version.

...of course the 'piece de resistance' of 2014...Tokyo Dome
The dark blonde prevailing...

This look was far too short lived, the only images I found were from MBC Blue night radio
(which he joined in July 2014)

...Blue haired Jjong...
Really was once in a blue moon?
(December 2014)

It had almost completely faded to an ashy grey by the time the boys met Jack Black, at the airport, later the same month.

2015: Jonghyun BASE
His much anticipated, and long awaited, debut as a solo artist.
The music video teasers, and album artwork/photobook mainly showed us 2 looks...

Super slick, sophisticated, swept back, with a strongly defined side part.

Super sexy, messy maine.
Mostly pushed back sides, front sections falling beautifully over his gazing eyes.

The grey tone here...
stunning...

By the time of the showcase, for his album release in January, the actual colour seems to have changed...
(Dark brown, with sparse highlights)
...but the cut and styling remained, in the same vein at least.
Strong side part, some slick, some textured, ruffled and sexy.

This entire ELLE magazine shoot, for the February edition...
Dark brown with the occasional highlights again
...longer now, still messy, and somehow soft and slightly fluffy.
The aesthetic is just... God tier...

ODD
The triumphant return of platinum Jjong.
This time was far more relaxed.

Then we get to SHINee World IV.
Arguably the greatest of SHINee's concerts in the history of everything, ever...
This look was almost 'EVERYBODY' 2.0, and matched so well with the costumes and staging.
These performances were stunning.

...I'm Married to the Music...
I imagine many current "Beauty gurus" would say how 'on fleek'* their makeup was for the ODD repackage...
The hair looks were just as out there for this Halloween themed return...and Jjongs was no exception

*do they still say that?

In September 2015 Jonghyun released his Novel.
"Diphylleia grayi: Skelton flower;

Author Jonghyun, also released another musical masterpiece.
"The Story Op 1"
...still a striking blonde...
.. Swept back, elegant...

He did two days of "guerrilla" concert performances.
(Sep 18-19th) in Hongdae, on release of his album.
...and a few days later, he also performed for an MBC 'Blue night radio' live concert...(Sep 22nd)

...Rocking a fedora...

October 2015, another Japanese single "Sing your song".
The whole aesthetic of the CD artwork, and music video, strike me very much as the wholesome 'boys next door' look...
It's EVERYBODY...again...
...but with a slight wave, making it less edgy, less harsh...

Also in October, he performed "The Story by Jonghyun" at The AGIT
Extra dates were added due to high demand for tickets.
Cutest VCRs, such as;
...getting out of bed, shaving, being generally adorable.
The on-stage presence...
No joke!
...but there's a softness here again.

In the last few days of 2015 Jonghyun, along with SHINee members, attended the usual year end events and graced us with a beautiful dark chocolate brown, slick, side part.
SBS 가요대전, MBC entertainment awards and the MBC 가요대제전 respectively.
That's some serious shine?

2016...okay...technically this still 2015...But the Japanese album 'DxDxDx' was released on January 1st... so...
There were lovely caramel highlights, in those chocolate locks of his, for their album promos, and music video for title track.

... I think this is the part of this thread we've been waiting for...
...the 'cultural reset', so to speak

He was serving looks and attitude at his album showcases too

I simply ADORE that this hair was styled in so many different ways.
From slick and suave...
To soft and sexy...
...to all out cute'n'fluffy

Still rocking the, now iconic, pink hair, Jonghyun did an editorial photo shoot for the June edition of 'Dazed & Confused Korea'
These stunning, artistic images, capture something very special.
Something very beautiful.
Something very sophisticated.

The Japanese tour for 'DxDxDx' ran between January and May.
The music video for 'Kiminoseide' was recorded sometime during the tour...The single was released in May
(chocolate brown with a few highlights, quite similar to the image seen in the "Your Number" MV of 2014 )

SHINee also did US 'fan meets' in 2016.
Chicago in May, and Dallas in July.
His hair was still a faded pink for the first date, but by July it had returned to its "natural" colour
... giving ODD era vibes once more.

to the 90's.
With the next comeback, "1 of 1", we were gifted with this beautiful chestnut brown, slight side part and heightened front portion... I'd call that a hot 'cow lick', wouldn't you?

Many of the photobooks images showed a more messy and casual appearance... Less preened and perfected, more relaxed.

For the November 2016 repackage for '1 of 1', '1 and 1', his tousled tresses are still a deep brown, more relaxed than the earlier promotions for '1 of 1', continuing a mature look.
This style somehow makes it seem longer, and thicker than it was previously.

This repack also gave us the Music video for "Tell me what to do"
In the video he has more of a fringe (bangs) across his forehead, gently grazing over his eyelashes.
Bounce and volume a plenty.

December 2016: SHINee return to Japan, with their 5th studio album titled "Five".
Whilst the hair look remained much the same, the impact had not lessened...

2017:
New year, new Japanese single
January saw the release of "Get the treasure" (from "Five") and the SHINee heist scenario MV
I don't think we asked?
