Parasiuk was affiliated with #farright Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists & Svoboda before #Maidan & was company commander in Right Sector-led Dnipro battalion after Maidan. Chornovol was activist of far right UNA-UNSO before Maidan & in Fatherland/Peoples Front during & after.
Parasiuk & Chornovol were hailed by media & politicians in #Ukraine & West as Maidan & national heroes in Ukraine, while their involvement in Maidan massacre & #farright background were deliberately ignored or denied. State Bureau of Investigations of #Ukraine has charged Tetiana Chornovol with arson of Party of Regions office & killing of computer technician there during Maidan massacre on February 18, 2014. The office computer technician who died during the arson attack was the first victim of the #Maidan massacre in #Ukraine. But until February 2020, the Prosecutor General Office of Ukraine investigated his death as a result of a fire and not an arson attack .
And NYT called Chornovol "a journalist, activist and crusader against public graft" few days after Maidan massacre.
