A Thread:
15. Ander Herrera - 2016/17

Won Manchester United’s POTY award. Was our midfield engine throughout the season and had an exceptional campaign throughout.

Was also a crucial figure against the big teams. Got the assist for Ibrahimovic’s winner in the League Cup Final as well.
14. Romelu Lukaku - 2017/18

27 goals and 9 assists. Scored 5 goals in the Champions League. Was the main reason why we finished 2nd in the Premier League.

Was involved in a goal in every round of the FA Cup leading up to the final too. Our most consistent player of the season.
13. Marcus Rashford - 2019/20

19 goals and 5 assists in just 31 games. Scored an incredible 9 goals against the “Big Six” teams. One of the few shining lights in a poor season.

Could’ve been below mid-table if it wasn’t for him. Not enough to take him higher up the list though.
12. Dimitar Berbatov - 2010/11

21 goals & 6 assists. Won the Golden Boot. Got in the PFA Team of the Year. Hat-trick vs Liverpool. Scored decisive goals which won us the league.

Unfortunately faded away as the season got on and failed to deliver in the UCL. Still a top season.
11. Antonio Valencia - 2011/12

6 goals and 16 assists. Won Manchester United’s POTY award (bit undeservedly). Was the engine of our attack for most of the season.

Also scored our goal of the season against Blackburn which should’ve been enough to win us the league. Unstoppable.
10. Paul Pogba - 2018/19

16 goals & 11 assists while playing as a central midfielder. Got in the PFA Team of the Year.

Was also our top goalscorer of the season and showed world class form after Solskjaer’s arrival at the club. Very underrated season. Deserves more recognition.
9. Zlatan Ibrahimović - 2016/17

28 goals & 10 assists. Scored the winner in the League Cup Final and in the Community Shield Final.

Was also involved in 9 Europa League goals, the competition we ended up winning. Had a big hand in 3 trophies. All this as a 35 year old. Unreal.
8. Luis Nani - 2010/11

10 goals & 20 assists. Won Manchester United’s POTY award. Got in the PFA Team of the Year.

Won us so many League games on his own when the others were struggling. Our most consistent attacking player that season. Premier League winner and UCL finalist.
7. Anthony Martial - 2015/16

18 goals & 11 assists. Came unknown. Delivered one of the most incredible seasons ever seen from a teenager.

Carried us completely throughout the season, was the one player we always relied on to deliver. Was an integral part of our FA Cup win too.
6. Wayne Rooney - 2013/14

19 goals and 22 assists in 40 Games. Averaged more than one goal contribution a game. Also broke the all-time UCL Assists record that season with 8 assists.

All this while playing in a declining Man United side with Moyes in charge.

Absolutely insane.
5. Nemanja Vidić - 2010/11

Won the Premier League Player of the Season award as a central defender. Also got in the PFA Team of the Year and was awarded a place in the FIFPro World XI at the end of the year.

Was the best CB in the world that season and the heart of our defence.
4. Wayne Rooney - 2010/11

16 goals & 14 assists. Scored the goal which won us the League. Carried us to the UCL Final on his own. Scored in the Quarters, Semis and in the Final against arguably the best team ever.

Finished 5th in Ballon D’or and got into the FIFPro World XI.
3. Wayne Rooney - 2011/12

34 goals & 9 assists. 27 goals in the league. PFA Team of the Year award.

Carried us to 89 League points and was inches away from winning us the title on his own with 0 world class players around him. Got in the World XI as a result of this season too.
2. Robin van Persie - 2012/13

30 goals and 15 assists.

• PL Golden Boot
• PFA Team of the Year
• Manchester United’s POTY
• 26 League Goals

Practically won us the league on his own. 45 goal contributions in a very limited, aging squad. Came in as a new signing as well.
1. Wayne Rooney - 2009/10

34 goals & 7 assists.

• PFA Players’ POTY
• PFA Fans’ POTY
• Premier League POTS
• FWA FOTY
• Man Utd POTY
• Sir Matt Busby POTY
• PFA TOTY

- Carried us within 1 point off PL title.
