Long Thread/
The story of my first dynasty team.
10 team/1QB/½ ppr. Drafted in 2015

-First, I didn't know what in the hell I was doing, but didn't do that bad. I loved fantasy football and had heard about dynasty, so I convinced my friends to do this thing.

My start up draft 👇
Not terrible, right? I would make the playoffs the first two seasons. The third season I would lose a game by 0.1 which made me lose a tiebreaker to keep me from the playoffs...had I won the matchup, I would have won the league...but shit happens.
I wanted Leveon Bell with my first pick. I'm a student at MSU, I've been a die-hard for two decades, I had season tickets his entire career at MSU. A friend planted the idea of a QB because they play for so long. Interesting, but I want Bell.

Bell went 1.01
I was in a pickle. I've been a fantasy player where RBs are gold, but I could also lock down Andrew Luck for 10 years(woops)

Eddie Lacy or Andrew Luck...

Luckily, I went Luck. I was lost, but at least I wasn't lost and stupid

Also, Stefon Diggs w/ the 2nd to last pick helped
By the end of that season, my team didn't look much different. Melvin Gordon was on the bench, but I had traded for him after his zero TD rookie season
That would bring on the infamous 2016 rookie draft. What a terrible rookie class to begin your dynasty experience with.
Yayyy you avoided all the bust WRs and drafted Michael Thomas.

I traded him immediately after the draft for Corey Coleman. Straight up. Worst trade of my dynasty life.

I'd end up trading back for him, and then trading him for Mike Evans all in this year
End of 2016. Another playoff loss.
I join Twitter around this time and get fully engulfed in the rookie class.

And the 2017 rookie class is a good one to fall in love with as long as you didn't draft Corey Davis.
...I traded 1.05 and Corey Coleman to move up to 1.02 to take Corey Davis

Fuck

Cummins killed this draft. He autodrafted the startup while in the military and this turned it around

Gabe, had a dominant team and added Kenny and Kamara, you'll see his roster at the end. 3x champ
End of 2017. This was the team that lost a tiebreaker because of a 0.1 pt loss that kept me from winning the title.
We're mostly Lions fans except Madden, who is a smelly Packers fan, so I was always going to draft Kerryon and flip him the moment he broke the 100 yard rushing streak the Lions had experienced.

The Rojo over Ridley pisses me off. I loved Ridley too.
My team straight fell on it's face in 2018. All those star players and I went 5-7. Gabe's team is still dominant(Team below, he's won 3 of 4 & lost in the finals the other year) and I realize I'm not going to win now, so I decide to BLOW IT ALL TF UP
I know the 2020 class has some stars on it. I'm going to bank on getting younger and rebuilding while the top teams start to get older and crumble.

I've got great pieces so I can't just trade for 2020 firsts, I need more, so I get '19 & '20 1sts plus throw ins for my stars
This is the barren wasteland I have left. But, I also have 5 firsts in 2019 and end up with 8 in 2020 before it is all said and done.

Before this season we voted to change the league to Superflex before the 2020 season
Ask how much I fucked this up...

I wanted Miles Sanders, but fuck me. I took Hock for the same reason I took Kerryon the year before.

I was too damn stubborn about Hakeem Butler and ignored the red flags. Live and learn. Henderson is looking good Right Now though🤷🏻‍♂️
I took Haskins because Lions fans wanted us to take him to replace Stafford ( worst fans ever FTR). So his hype in Detroit was real. Plus he had just crapped on UM & MSU so we all saw him do it

Traded him and Larry Fitz for a guy you may have heard of...

Chris Godwin. Thank you
2019 goes along and my team is pretty awful as one could imagine, but I make a few trades and have a few pickups that help along the way
-Terry Mclaurin
-Devante Parker
-Tyler Higbee
-Darius Slayton

I was banking on QB, but Luck retired and that through my foundation out of wack
After the season I end up having first round picks 2-8. I can dig it. But, now the trade offers are coming in. Most are shit, Cummins usually sends shit trades, but he'll swing for the fences, so it's fun.

Devante Adams/Little/2.04 for 1.03/1.05/1.06/1.07

Accepted
So coming into our first Superflex season and the 2020 draft(Draft board above) the team I've got going in is this. I figured the rebuild would take a while, but I finished 5-7 last season and I'm sitting much better now.
I've fucked up along the way sooo much. I've also made some great moves

This is just my way to be transparent. I'm never going to create a character of myself that I'm not, to portray to this community

Dynasty is supposed to be fun.
You need a plan.
Sometimes it needs to evolve
I don't care if you don't care about this thread, or my team, but if you've been in this game long enough(and most of you have done it much longer than me), you all have stories of teams that you remember obscure moves made for irrelevant players years ago

That's why this is fun
Like we Memphis always says at the end of every @DynastyWarZone episode, "We're just trying to make the world a better place for fantasy football"

Make fun of my team, laugh at my moves, make fun of my leaguemates and their drafts...

I'm here for all of it.
Just traded Goff/Davante Adams/2.04 for Lamar Jackson/M. Gallup

It's a young roster with lots of holes, but that QB room now has Lamar Jackson/Kyler Murray/Dak (and holding onto Andrew Luck for a little longer).

Here's to hoping I don't hate seeing this tweet in a few years.
