the idea is that Indiana has few hospitals and is going to be overwhelmed almost immediately; nursing homes are being urged to keep the elderly in their beds and basically let them die there. thatâs the subtext. itâs EVIL.
this is UNQUESTIONABLY an ableist & ageist diatribe against people in âlong-term care,â saying that they should NOT be moved to hospitals b/c they are worth less, that doing so âexposes healthcare workers to the virusâ (UM?!?!) and uses up resources needed for more deserving ppl
she is presuming the healthcare workers at these long-term care facilities were incompetent to judge when these residents needed to be moved to a hospital
it is not her place to quarrel with these patientsâ doctorsâ decisions! but sheâs not doing that. sheâs saying the patients
