To go with this, I made alu Subzi. Decided to use one of the many Masalas that I was hoarding in the freezer for many months now. This was a dabeli Masala Id bought in Mumbai. Boiled diced Alu+haldi+dabeli Masala+salt+tomato puree, toss in oil+hing+zeera+crushed roasted peanuts
No fancy plate or plating - lockdown time mein itna hi plating Kaafi hai.
Please note how 1 phulka=2 Phulkas https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤣" title="Rolling on the floor laughing" aria-label="Emoji: Rolling on the floor laughing">

Just mash all ingredients together in a bowl. You can also use your hands but I didn’t want this to smell of soap or sanitizer https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😭" title="Loudly crying face" aria-label="Emoji: Loudly crying face">

Sourdough bread baking under duress because no bread delivery happening on milk basket app and I don’t want to step out as far as possible #lockdown

Bittergourd pitla, capsicum podi and rice for lunch

Pitla recipe https://www.saffrontrail.com/pavakka-pitla-bittergourd-pitlah-recipe/">https://www.saffrontrail.com/pavakka-p...

Didn’t grind a fresh masala, just used regular sambar powder
For podi capsicum, follow this recipe —just sauté diced capsicum first https://www.instagram.com/p/B9yHv-UALq3/?igshid=563e9ytvlw1e">https://www.instagram.com/p/B9yHv-U...
Day 11/21
Spent a solid 2 hours in the kitchen garden, removing weeds, dried out plants, harvesting some stuff and sowing new seeds, esp coriander, spinach, lettuce that I can harvest in a month or so. This is harder than any gym workout. #lockdown
Also got scratched by thorns, got bitten by random bugs and hands are rougher than ever but it feels good nevertheless.
Green and red amaranthus (chauli) - gorgeous flowers and leaves are great for cooking - esp in these no spinach available days
Day 12/21 was a washout with a debilitating headache
Day 13/21 #toasttuesday

Made myself this beautiful plate of breakfast — toast, hard boiled egg and tomato with a garnish of greens from the garden.
