Namibia has a population of 2.5 mill but only 18 ICU beds in the public health sector and 67 in the private sector, that's less than 100 across all sectors, some of you don't take this pandemic seriously because you think your privileges & status will work for you. Think again.
Namibia has one of the world's highest HIV prevalence rates estimated at roughly 12% of adults. Coronavirus is known to likely kill victims with underlying health conditions, double this with our high alcohol consumption of around 18% of population being heavy drinkers.
Salaried workers are minorities in Namibia, with small scale entrepreneurs and the self employed being majority and main providers in family units. With the economy hit and lock downs business is unusual and many families will likely suffer.
