I’m not saying the virus isn’t serious. It is. But it’s March 25. Two weeks ago lots of people, including “experts,” warned that thousands would be dead by now. That hasn’t happened. And so far as I can tell, few of them have admitted the mistake. That’s dishonest. Erodes trust.
Thousands dead in the US. That was the prediction. Now we’re pretending it was never predicted.
There’s nothing wrong with saying “yeah it’s not quite as bad as we said but it’s still a serious problem.” Why can’t you say that? Why can’t you be honest?
