Maybe it's my low follower count? I don't engage much past likes unless it's Black Twitter, KHive, a topic I feel strongly about

or in response to a friend I know in my offline life. I'm also increasingly devoted to giving compliments and encouragement to other people, especially black women and other marginalized women.

It could be my politics. I'm a messy bitch about them. I'm a Dem through and through

but one in the pro-union, pro-worker, pro-intersectionality, black-queer-feminist pragmatist mold. I can't stand Bernie Sanders, both for his personality and affect AND because his ground organizing strategy is myopic. I said so in 2015 and my best friend threatened to leave me

on the side of the expressway for it. I can't stand the Democratic party, either, for similar gaps in strategy in organizing black and brown people and taking votes for granted. I have firmly believed in most articulated "progressive" platform points since they were known as

"liberal" in the 90s and "radical" while I was in college. I also firmly believe change takes time and targeted education, and sometimes means compromise. Compromise does not mean losing sight of the goal, but using step by step objectives to reach that goal.

It irritates the shit out of me that the GOP has their plan on lock and keep it going, even when presented with an assclown like Toupee Fiasco, but the Dems and progressives and left cannot find our way to a single set of practical, long-reaching goals. We play into divide and

conquer tactics from the right every fucking time, because people with relatively uncomplicated identities forget some of us don't parse into neat boxes. I could say a fuckton more just on that point, but not today. It's not the point.
