Sunrise Day One
On a 30 minute cycle around Devonport just now I saw about 60 people all out, walking, dogwalking or jogging. Many waving to each other and all maintained the 2m distance. I saw barely 20 cars on the road over the same time.
Sunrise Day 2.

About the same number of walkers (though fewer dog walkers) and only a dozen cars
Sunrise Day 3. Barely two dozen walkers (but the same number of dogwalkers) but only six vehicles, outnumbered by the seven cyclists
Sunrise Day 4 of the Lockdown. Again only 20 or so walkers including five groups of dog walkers. Nine vehicles and the same number of cyclists.
Sunrise Day 5. Much more activity this morning (ICYMI it's Monday), over 60 walkers, a dozen or so dog walkers, 13 cyclists & just 16 vehicles a good proportion of which were heading to the Naval Base.
Sunrise Day 6. Same number of walkers and dogwalkers as yesterday. 15 cyclists and 17 vehicles most of which were along Lake Road. Taken from Maungauika (North Head)
Sunrise Day 7 (Northern end of Narrow Neck Beach). Left a little earlier and rode for an hour so a few more people & dogwalkers (85 &15 respectively). 19 cyclists & 28 vehicles most on the Lake Rd/Victoria Rd arterial
Sunrise Day 8 (from Maungauika). About 60 walkers, but only 6 groups of dogwalkers. Just 14 vehicles outnumbered by the 20 cyclists. Now having to take more care around runners and walkers as they reclaim the roads.
Sunrise Day 9 top of Maungauika. The runner (doing repeat hill sprints, as you do) paused to photograph the sunrise himself just as I was coming round the corner. 65 walkers, 14 dogwalking groups, 14 vehicles & 11 cyclists.
Sunrise Day 10. From top of Takuranga (Mt Victoria). Rare shot of the mushrooms turning to meet the rising sun. 60 walkers, 5 groups of dogwalkers, 19 vehicles & 14 cyclists. Includes, for the first time, 3 family bubbles
Sunrise Day 11, the view from Takuranga. Quite a bit of activity after the clocks went back. Over a hour I saw 51 walkers, 10 dogwalking groups, 18 vehicles (the last of which blithely turned across me which I fortunately anticipated) & 24 cyclists including one family bubble.
Sunrise Day 12. From Takuranga & surprised to see the shift towards looking over the Eastern Suburbs. 43 walkers, 12 dogwalking groups, 13 vehicles (all on the Victoria Rd/Lake Rd arterial) & 11 cyclists
Sunrise Day 13. Waterfront near Devonport Yacht Club. 55 walkers, 12 groups of dogwalkers (one of which 'allowed' their dog to escape their bubble), 16 vehicles (most along Lake/Victoria Rd arterial) & 9 cyclists (surprisingly few given the good weather & empty roads).
Sunrise Day 14(!), from Torpedo Bay Wharf. Noticeably less activity: 35 walkers, including 10 dogwalking groups, 8 vehicles (7 of which were in a 2 minute burst along Lake Road) and 8 cyclists. It was 20 minutes before I saw a vehicle on the road. Very unusual.
Sunrise Day 15, from McHughs, Cheltenham Beach. More walkers today, 61 in all, 9 dogwalking groups, 21 vehicles (again along the main Victoria/Lake road arterial) and just 7 cyclists (maybe because of anticipated rain or the strong westerly).
Sunrise Day 16 over Rangitoto from Takuranga. Little activity as you might expect: over an hour there were 63 walkers, 14 dogwalker groups, 12 vehicles & 13 cyclists. A worrying trend is more dogs are off the leash (one ran out in front of me as I was descending Takuranga😡)
Sunrise Day 17, Easter Saturday. Tina photographing Rangitoto by McHughs on Cheltenham Beach. A little more activity today. 65 walkers, 12 dogwalking groups, 19 vehicles (4 of them buses) & 27 cyclists, including two bubbles & one walking (riding) his dog.
Sunrise Day 18, Easter Sunday, Cheltenham Beach. Past the witching hour of 7ish, it got busy: 73 walkers, 22 dogwalking groups, 22 vehicles and 10 cyclists.
