NGO’s - are donors/grantees/philanthropists who fund your organisations also supporting you with the impact this Coronavirus pandemic has on your operations? Are they cutting funding? Asking for justification of spending? Offering extensions for reports? Negotiating reallocation?
*grantmakers
Or are they sending cartoons about washing your hands? I really want to know.
These are general questions about their obligations to public benefit org's. If you are part of one, I would suggest making sure that they too are accountable to you as the grantee. Pls. Not to be alarmist, but we will see doors closing because of this.
Sidebar: some like to term it as a partnership, but in essence it's just them pressing ”disburse funds” button. I hope they exercise some kind of duty of care towards NGOs.
