The fact that Trump and all the other corporate masters want us to be back at work by Easter is a gigantic tell about how valuable your labor really is. The machine is collapsing without our work, and this is a huge sign that we all should U N I O N I Z E
Collectively we can all grind this to a halt, if we want to.
If automation was already here, why is Amazon hiring hundreds of thousands of new workers? Where are the drones I saw on 60 minutes? Exactly.
But RoBoTs ArE THE FutURe -- it's all a fucking scare tactic to keep you from asking for a living wage and universal healthcare
This is a unique opportunity in our lives to demand more. If we're gonna risk our lives to go back to work then we should at least get the same healthcare that Libertarian Rand Paul does. It's not too much to ask. Solidarity.
Your job is not a "family." It's not a "team." It's a group of stockholders extracting value from you. Yes, a multi-millionaire might cry if a lot of you get laid off. But guess what, you still won't be able to pay the rent next month.
I'm from the South/Texas which is historically anti-union. But if they're so bad, why do athletes have them? Why do actors have then? Does your hyper-religious boss live paycheck to paycheck, or skip a meal so his kids can eat? Think about that shit.
For starters, we should quarantine until we get Medicare for All. It would take two weeks and they'd give in. Look at how many trillions they've all come up with. To quote Bill Hicks: "It's gonna fuck up the economy... the economy thats fake anyway!"
One more thing: I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that solidarity means you're gonna have to join up with people you might not totally agree with. If you agree 80% with someone, THEY ARE NOT YOUR ENEMY. Get over that shit.
To add to that -- if a gun-loving/abortion-hating/whoever wants to join up with you? Guess what, it's over, you won.
