"You're probably wondering how I got here. It all started when a pandemic forced every university in the US to go online."
I got sunburned recording a lecture today. That's a first. Also never taught with a cat. Or outside. The world is changing so fast.
I better not have gotten sunburned for nothing.
Having data on the average viewing time of recorded lectures is less than encouraging.
today's lecture featured plants, but no cats
WWI Poets

Small moments of absurd "creativity" have made the move to online teaching a bit less stressful for me. @obunews
If you are interested in "visiting" @obunews, we have virtual tours available and I am always available to chat about our programs: https://www.okbu.edu/admissions/virtual-visit/index.html

Come be an English major with me.
Antigone
No video today. But here's the intro to my discussion of WWI poets.
Where am I at? Well. I started recording a lecture for Medea and in the middle of talking about it I realize that I never recorded a lecture on the second half of Antigone. Later tonight I hope to record one on Prufrock and maybe a short one on The Waste Land.
Well, I recorded a lecture on Eliot. But by the end I just wanted to admit, “It is impossible to say just what I mean!”
Finally got one of these uploaded. Antigone: Part Two
T.S. Eliot. (They will say: “How his hair is growing thin!”)
Another clip from Antigone
The Sun Also Rises
The Sun Also Rises, Too
Last lecture on Hemingway
Basic overview of Greek philosophy, featuring the back of my 4yo's head as she came over to talk to me. Also, new tie.
Sorry
All I could manage today was a one-take overview of Plato while swinging on my porch swing today.
