Christina Aguilera was an ambassador for the “The UN World Food Programme”
She has visited the poverty-stricken people of Kigali, Rwanda for an emotional mission to fight world hunger.

Christina Aguilera has helped raise $37 million to feed struggling women and children. In 2010 she spent time in Guatemala. “She's very sensitive, and she really listens," says WFP rep Bettina Luescher, who was on both trips.

Christina Aguilera had visited Guatemala, Haiti and Rwanda to help the children there but her trip to Ecuador was a personal one. Being that she’s half Ecuadorean herself.

Pass The Red Cup was designed to drive awareness and inspire donations for Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief. Aguilera challenged media outlets, other celebrities, influencers & her fans around the to share on their social channels to raise awareness of the global hunger issue

After the tragic Orlando nightclub shooting at an LGBT establishment. Christina Aguilera wrote and recorded the song “Change” The proceedings are donated to the National Compassion Fund to benefit the victims' families.

In 2012 Christina Aguilera led the star-studded line-up at a telethon in aid of the victims of Storm Sandy. Helping to raise $23 Million for hurricane Sandy relief.

In 2019 Christina Aguilera was honoured by receiving an award from “The Shade Tree” a domestic violence shelter that she donates to. Whilst she tried not to, she ended up balling throughout her speech as it’s a cause that is very close to her heart.

Christina Aguilera took to Instagram to shed more light on her personal experience of Domestic Violence as a child and to encourage others to speak up and make their voices heard in order to break these deep rooted cycles and empower each other to end these patterns.

In 2004, Christina Aguilera lent her face to MAC Cosmetics for the 10th anniversary of its MAC AIDS Fund, which has raised more than $500 million exclusively through the sale of MAC’s VIVA Glam Lipstick and Lipgloss donating all proceeds to fight HIV/AIDS since it began in 1994.

Christina Aguilera has attended multiple fundraisers like the amfAR Gala in Los Angeles 2019 where she’s performed to help raise money for HIV/AIDS.

Christina Aguilera has also shown up to support the fight against Cancer. In 2014 she attended and performed at the “Hollywood stands up to Cancer” event in California.

In 2010 Christina Aguilera performed a stripped-down version of "Lift Me Up" on the "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief telethon" The song was later included on the "Hope for Haiti Now album"

In 2005, Christina Aguilera donated her wedding gifts to American charities in support of Hurricane Katrina victims. “The best gift you could give us would be a donation to any of the organisations helping the stricken citizens of New Orleans”

As major contributor to the fight against AIDS, Christina Aguilera has participated in the "What's Going On?" cover project for AIDS Project Los Angeles' Artists Against AIDS.

In 2016 Christina Aguilera partnered with Verizon and the company’s HopeLine program, which aims to “connect survivors of domestic violence to vital resources, fund organizations nationwide and protect the environment.”

In 2012 Christina Aguilera was Honored at State Department with the George McGovern Leadership Award. “As a woman and mother, I’m honored to receive this award and be part of the global effort to solve hunger”

In 2001 Christina Aguilera was the first celebrity to sign a letter from PETA to the South Korean government asking that the country stop its alleged "abuse of dogs k*lled for food"

In 2005 Elton John featured Christina Aguilera in his charity book “4 Inches” which bennifited the Elton John AIDS foundation.

In 2005 Christina Aguilera performed at the “Unite of the Stars" concert for Unite Against Hunger in Johannesburg, South Africa and for the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund at the Coca-Cola Dome.

Amidst the #COVID19 pandemic Christina Aguilera used her platform to encourage others to contribute towards helping The Shade Tree who provide safe shelter to homeless and abused women & children in crisis so that they can continue helping their clients.

In 2000 Christina Aguilera travelled to the Ecuadorian Embassy residence in Washington D.C. where she sang and signed autographs at a charity event benefiting children in Ecuador.

In 2010 Christina Aguilera signed a Chrysler 300 Eco Style car for “Stars for a Cause” charity auction during the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards. Stars For A Cause donated over $212,500 to the charity organizations suchas American Red Cross Haiti Relief, Greenpeace Fund & Oxfam.

In 2018 Christina Aguilera created a fund raiser and encouraged her followers to consider joining her for #GivingTuesday to help support the Battered Women’s Justice Project.

In 2018 Christina Aguilera performed at the #GenentechGivesBack Benefit Concert Genentech is a biotechnology company dedicated to pursuing groundbreaking science to discover and develop medicines for people with serious and life-threatening diseases.
