(1/6) Understand that over time with the "advancement of civilization," terms were developed to define and categorize. In doing so, we have grown apart from the "whole" but rather look at each part as a whole. Continuing to categorize even the pieces of a part.
(2/6) Categorizing followed through into the myths as well. Going from a view of Sky Father/Earth Mother/Ancestral Spirits/Nature Spirits to Gods & Goddesses (and offspring there of) of various aspects of the same part. This was not intended to become a form of worship as such.
(3/6) The intent of our ancestors was to put things into a form which could be past down through the generations. Aiding our ancestral memory & developing a language of spiritual communication through the symbology. Yet, it became something else when "civilization," encroached.
(4/6) Swamped by ignorance of the need to define and categorize. Trying to rationalize myth into a false reality and dismiss it all as silly caveman science fiction. When in reality the myths contain observations of nature and pathways to ancestral connections.
(5/6) To compound matters, foreign belief systems and new ageism has smothered & twisted the ancestral mysteries. The former took much of the old ways as part of its own & the latter was a misguided attempt by some to create a whole new purportedly Euro-centric spirituality.
