As I play PMD Rescuers DX, I'm reminded of something I always found odd. Boss battles were always the easy part of the dungeon (for me). They should shake up the formula rather than just making it a 1 room floor with just your team and the boss(es).
One idea that comes to mind is the boss is at the end of a LONG room, and has an attack with infinite range. The player team would need to get to (or away from) the boss, while ducking behind cover when the boss attacks. To up the challenge, enemy Pokemon could show up as well.
On finishing the main story of Rescuers DX, I can revisit this thread to say that the last two boss battles succeeded in shaking up the formula, adding a bit of variety. Still too little too late though.

Bright side, I was able to beat the final boss without using reviver seeds.
