UCHIHA thread. (A long one)
(うちは一族, Uchiha Ichizoku) is one of the four noble clans of Konohagakure, reputed to be the village's strongest because of their Sharingan and natural battle prowess.

Let's focus with Fugaku's family.
Fugaku Uchiha - Head of the clan, also called as "Wicked Eye Fugaku." Other nation fears when they hear Fugaku's name.
After the 2nd? 3rd war? There were rumors that he was to become the 4TH HOKAGE as the 3rd wants to retire and is getting old.

Before the incident with the kyuubi, Fugaku was seen as a kind, loving but stern father. He's under appreciated, really. He also respects Obito's wish and let Kakashi kept the sharingan.

Oh also during the war, Fugaku brought Itachi to a mountain of corpse to teach him the purpose of a shinobi. /A very questionable move, why bring your son to war/

The young and innocent Itachi aid a ninja from the stone village. Upon noticing Itachi is also a ninja, the guy immediately tried to kill him, but Itachi manage to protect himself.
Also the part were Itachi questions about life.

Then Mikoto was pregnant with his 2nd son.
Itachi wants to have a little brother.

Fugaku was so happy when Sasuke was born. He even asked the 3rd's blessing if he can name his second son after his father.

Also here, when Itachi was born.

He might be tough, but he adores his sons so much.

After the kyuubi attack.

The higher ups suspected the Uchiha Clan has an involvement with the it (damn u Madara). While the other clan receives some favorable relocation, the Uchiha was moved to the farthest part and were isolated.

Fugaku protested and stated that as the Police Force they cannot protect the village if they were placed there.

*Will tell more later about the kyuubi incident and the Uchiha involvement.

Fugaku failed which led to the other clan members to resent the village. They all know that the higher ups still fears them and clings to the past (because of Madara)

The place where the clan was placed was highly guarded, as seen here. Fugaku, at first, didn't want to believe and still wants to maintain peace.

btw, Fugaku was loved and respected by the whole clan.
To be fair, I think they are all kind and only wants to be a part of the village.

Itachi's pain.

Itachi awakened his sharingan @ 8. Fugaku was proud and told him how powerful their clan is, however, Itachi isn't, his friend died that led him to awaken his sharingan.

Shisui and Itachi. We all know how tragic their stories is.

For me, they are the heroes from the Uchiha Clan, shadow protector of the village.

As the clan grew angrier from the distrust and Itachi becoming an Anbu. Shisui was tasked to watch Itachi but none of them knew that Shisui sympathized with him.

Shisui planned to control Fugaku to stop the coup d'état however, Danzo didn't trust him and stole his eye instead.

Shisui feared that Danzo would continue to pursue his left eye so he entrust it to Itachi.

"Protect the village… and the Uchiha name."

This also led to accusation and suspicion to Itachi.

The coup d'état. While the other members wants war against the village, Fugaku wish for a "Bloodless Revolution." He also revealed to his son about his Mangekyo Sharingan but didn't to the clan so no one will force him to control the 9 tails.

Itachi reported that the coup d'état can never be stopped. Danzo gave him 2 choices: "Support the Uchiha and have the whole clan and Sasuke killed, or accept the assignment to wipe out the clan before the coup started and be allowed to spare Sasuke.

"Don't let other's decide things for your life" remembering his father's words, Itachi chose his brother.

"In order to protect the leaf and Sasuke"

Uchiha Clan Downfall

(I really thought that Itachi killed his whole clan alone.)

Itachi offered Madara to assist him in wiping the clan, taking vengeance against them for abandoning him, If he would spare the whole Village. Madara agreed.

The saddest part is seeing Fugaku and Mikoto accepting their fate. Fugaku didn't want a death match with his son and entrust Sasuke to Itachi.

"Itachi promise me this, Take care of Sasuke"

"Don't fear it, This is the path you've chosen. Compared to yours, our pain will end in an instant.

Our philosophies may differ, but I'm proud of you.

You truly are a one of a kind child"

Itachi then reported to the 3rd and requested to take care of Sasuke (He also threatened Danzo that he will leak his secret if he touch Sasuke)

He then carry out his new mission and infiltrate Akatsuki and kept it moving against Konoha. Up until the end, he protected the village

So is the Uchiha Clan involve with the kyuubi incident? NO, they were tasked to protect the civilians and not engage the Nine-Tails. Also, it takes the Mangekyu Sharingan in order to control the Kyuubi, only Madara/Tobi, Fugaku, Itachi, Kakashi and Sasuke awaken the Mangekyu.
