(LONG ASS THREAD)

Hey, remember when MoS!Lois said "fuck the US military" and went to court to be allowed access to the site where the Kryptonian ship was discovered? Remember when she climbed a mountain to follow a complete stranger, simply because he had piqued her curiosity?
Remember when she went against her editor's orders because she absolutely wanted her story to be published? Remember when she found out Clark's identity from scratch? Remember when she discovered the story of the century and deliberately chose not to do anything about it?
Remember when she tried to outrun the freaking FBI? Remember when she kept Clark's secret even when she was arrested, accused of treason with the fate of her planet lying on her shoulders? Remember when she followed Faora because she didn't want anyone to get hurt on her behalf?
Remember when she ended up on an alien ship and still managed to escape? Remember when she unknowingly helped Jor El change the atmospheric parameters of the ship, which ultimately allowed Clark to escape too?
Remember when she apologized to Clark for betraying him even if she had done so against her will? Remember how she took part in the mission to send Zod and his soldiers back to the phantom zone?
Remember how she hold her own against a dangerous terrorist in BvS?
Remember how *she* felt responsible over what happened in the desert because she knew she had been used as a pawn to get to Clark & the guilt was killing her?Remember how she was struggling with her inner demons and searched for the truth not just for C's sake, but for her own 2?
Remember when she was the only one who didn't let herself be manipulated by Lex Luthor and ultimately found out he was the true villain of the story? Remember when her investigating work eventually sent him to prison? Not Superman. Not Batman. Lois Lane.
Remember when the threw herself between Clark and someone who, for all she knew, was a dangerous and psychotic madman? Remember when she saved Superman? Remember how her words and her presence made Batman realize he was about to become everything he despised?
Remember when Clark told her she was his world? Because she is. Lois Lane is the first person outside of his parents who believed in him because of who he was. She saw Clark Kent before she saw Superman. She protected him, fought for him, had his back like no one ever did.
Lois Lane represents the best of humanity.

So when people claim that she's just another useless love interest (and we really have to stop using the term "love interest" as an insult), it just tells me that they automatically disregard more traditional portrayal of women...
... as if they weren't worth much. As if they weren't worth anything if they didn't check the official criterias for "badass female character". Which is downright sad, especially when it comes from the so called "feminist" brigade.
Lois Lane fights through her words, not her fists. That doesn't make her any less of an inspiration for little girls around the world. In fact, I would argue that it makes her even more inspiring.

Haters gonna hate I guess. But we stan a Queen.
