My neighbor... Harvard educated. Argues things won’t be bad in NYC until ‘July’. Goes out several times a day for recreation and complains people aren’t staying at home when they encounter crowds, & decided today they would get masks at the pharmacy... I had to let them know.

Neighbor, despite having an SUV and large family property just outside NY, is staying in their small apartment with an 11 year old to ‘just go out once a day cause it’s not a quarantine’. I seriously want to know where they get their information.

I had to call the pharmacy to confirm that nope there’s zero fucking masks and hasn’t been for weeks for them to go outside and buy today cause they couldn’t even do that for themselves.

Now neighbor txts me a single online video where one doctor ‘feels’ you can only get infected from touching it and putting it in your mouth (despite there being no consensus on transmission) so I shouldn’t care she goes out several times a day and let her visit my apartment...

Upstairs neighbor hid from rest of us in building that they & kid have been sick. Heard kid in entranceway say felt too sick to go out & they forced them to. I said it’s unfair they’ve been going in & out without warning us & precautions and they said my ‘anxiety is infectious’.

This kind of moral quandary with neighbors, it’s really fucking hard and horrible. Say they have no idea what they’ll do if they need hospitalization and kid is alone.
