No pubs, so here’s a three-month sporadic thread of beers I’m drinking from home:
First up, @HarbourBrewing American Pale Ale. Review: Should’ve bought two.
Next up, @LDNBEERFACTORY Hazey Daze. Opens like a tin of beans, doesn’t taste like beans. It’s okay.
Double-header! @thornbridge classic Jaipur. Tastes better on draught in the @SheffieldTap. Decent drop.
Aldi Half-Pipe Session Pale Ale. “Specially produced for Aldi stores”. Should have left it in Aldi.
Throwback Thursday. Here’s one I forgot to post last weekend. @StAustellBrew Proper Job. Can’t go wrong with this one, crowd pleaser.
Welcome to the weekend, chaps. We’re off to a bad start. @CamdenBrewery Show Off. 5.8% lager. Not the greatest drop, but the only way is up.
Next: @MarstonsBrewery 61 Deep Pale Ale. Absolute pub favourite. Pretty good from the bottle.
New glass alert. @vocationbrewery Pride & Joy. Co-op special. It’s the Jordan Henderson of beer. Reliable.
5-star pour of @dbbrewingco American IPA. Not a 5-star beer.
Happy Monday. Here’s some bonus beer from yesterday. @thornbridge New England IPA. Yet to try a crap beer from these guys. 10/10 can. 8/10 beer.
Happy Easter. @SirenCraftBrew Soundwave IPA. Dodgy quote from @GaryLineker, not a dodgy beer.
Next: @SaltBeerFactory Jute Session IPA. The chicken has been following the thread and wanted to get involved. Decent beer.
Wow. @thornbridge Green Mountain Hazy Vermont Session IPA. The best yet, sensational drop. Need to find this on draught when this is all over. 10/10.
Next, @SanMiguel_UK. Brewed and bottled in Northampton by @CarlsbergUK. The finest lager around.
Happy Easter. @SierraNevada California IPA. Loses points because the can feels like a can of 20p energy drink. Yes, I have an issue with the can.
Belgian beer alert 🚨 @Leffe Blonde. Not a big fan. I’ll be ordering a Tripel when I’m next in Amsterdam.
Back at it. @BlackSheepBeer Pineapple Milkshake IPA. Tastes like it sounds, a bit weird.
Happy Saturday. First up, @SaltBeerFactory Huckaback Neipa. Refreshing, love a cloudy beer. Dodgy can though.
Is that meant to be Liam Gallagher? @GipsyHillBrew Hepcat Session IPA. Decent, nothing spectacular, does a job in front of the defence.
Decent head on that. @kirkstallbrew Dissolution IPA. Bottles are tough to master, a lot end up tasting a bit flat and boring. This fell into that category.
Another beer from @SirenCraftBrew. Yulu Session Pale Ale. Actually rather good. 3.6%...
Morning folks. @fourpeaksbrew Subtropic Juicy Pale. A bit too flat for me, even last weeks good weather couldn’t save this one.
5.7% @NMBCo Rapscallion Orange Zest IPA. Wouldn’t want to try a gallon of it, but a can went down with no dramas.
It’s another bank holiday folks. @GardenBrewery1 Pale Ale. The beer was okay, getting torn to pieces on Warzone by someone with “2006” in their gamertag isn’t okay.
Next: @FivePointsBrew Extra Pale Ale. Nothing too special, I think I might be getting fed up of Pale Ale’s. Could try the hand gel?
Another entry from @GardenBrewery1. Tastes like Punk IPA. Not too bad.
Stout 🚨🚨🚨 @BlackSheepBeer Milk Stout. Described as rich and creamy, it was neither. Probably miles better down the pub.
Next, @MeantimeBrewing Salted Caramel Porter. A much better drop.
I think all Pale Ale’s are starting to taste the same. @MagicRockBrewCo High Wire West Coast Pale Ale. No dramas with this one, it’s good.
CIDER ALERT! I’ve lost the plot big time. @KentishPipCider Katy Apple & Rhubarb Cider. It disappeared in about 10 seconds, so can’t of been bad.
Tried @GuinnessGB Original. Heartbreaking, had high hopes, dashed. You cannot replicate a good pint of Guinness down the pub. I suppose I could try the cans?
This thread has been going for over two months now, looks like it’ll keep going a while yet! Next, Bad Co Perfect Pilsner. Half decent.
