There’s a lot to unpack with these so called “buck breaking” historical memes. It actually doesn’t make zero sense. Existing proudly as gay in antebellum America? Unheard of & unrealistic. Man on man sex was illegal during antebellum America. & Practically unheard of...
The whole basis of these memes are homophobia & toxic masculinity. Chattel slavery wasn’t about sexuality or any slaveowner being gay. Sexual abuse itself is about power & having control over people.
How could such an alleged widespread practice throughout the slave colonies be so popular but yet unknown with no historical documents to support these claims? Buck breaking is just as valid as the “Willie Lynch letter”...
Chattel slavery was an institution & it is deeper than your homophobic agenda. Sexual exploitation in slavery is more than sexual gratification. It was about power & control. These were tools of violence, humiliation, & dehumanization just as much as the whip or the fist were.
Homosexuality was illegal during antebellum America. So this idea that white men gathered together to perform “homosexual acts” on their slaves makes zero sense. . Even the most powerful men during those times couldn’t exist being found to have had sex with other men.
The creators of these memes are more focused on the slaveowners being gay than the awful things they’ve done to enslaved people. There was no shortage of trauma of during slavery. So there’s no reason to fabricate history the way they’re doing.
Public demonstrations with families & friends watching that were meant to humiliate enslaved men did exist.

We’ve all learned about it/watched it in films:
Sexual abuse to humiliate, degrade, & dehumanize enslaved women & men did occur. But we can’t make up history because we don’t agree with certain behavior or the way people exist. Even in the “slave bible” it explains how to discipline & punish slaves.
There was for sure sexual abuse & other forms of abuse throughout slavery. In fact, Thomas Thistlewood, an eighteenth-century Jamaican planter, noted in his journal multiple acts of sexual abuse being inflicted on enslaved men & women by white slaveowners.
For one of them, he recorded a report of a “Mr. Watt” committing sodomy against his male slave. But was there a system where white slaveowners came together to sexually abuse their male slaves for their own gratification & to “emasculate” those men? No. There’s no proof of that.
To say that enslaved men being victims of sexual abuse is the “emasculation of the Black man” is to downplay seriousness of the history behind these horrible acts that your ancestors endured. Because you’re more focused on it being a “gay thing” & that’s the problem.
