Since there's no football to watch and no football news for us to really report, we thought it'd be cool to relive one amazing Korean football moment everyday for the next few weeks.

Day 1: Sonny's goal that knocked the defending champions out at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Day 2: Park Chu-Young (박주영) dribbles past three Japanese defenders to score the first goal in the Bronze medal match in the 2012 London Olympics. It was Korea's first ever medal in Men's Olympic football.
Day 3: Anyone know or remember the 산책 세레모니? If not, you're about to see one of the most unforgettable celebrations in Korean football history after Captain Park silences thousands of Japanese supporters in Saitama, Japan.
Day 4: Let's take it back to the summer of 2002, when Korea co-hosted the FIFA World Cup. In Korea's first match against Poland, Hwang-Sun Hong (황선홍) scores Korea's first goal of the tournament that would ignite a magical run forever cemented in our history.
Day 5: After a win against Poland and a draw with the US, Korea needed a big performance against Portugal to make it to the knockout stages at the 2002 World Cup. Who would step up? A 21 year old by the name of Park Ji-Sung (박지성). His story starts here.
Day 6: Ahn Jung-Hwan's (안정환) golden goal that sent Korea to the quarter finals. The cross, the header, and the ring celebration - pure perfection. Perhaps the one goal that every Korean has seen at least once in their lifetime. Let's relive this magical moment together.
Day 7: Just days after completing their massive upset against Italy, Korea was matched against another football giant in the quarterfinals of the 2002 FIFA World Cup - Spain. Surely, their magical run was over now. Or was it? Enter Lee Woon-Jae (이운재) and Hong Myung-Bo (홍명보)
Day 8: There is no 2002 FIFA World Cup miracle without Yoo Sang-Chul (유상철). He is a true Korean football legend and icon. Currently battling Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, we at the Tavern send our thoughts and prayers to Yoo and his family. This ones for you, Yoo. Get well soon.
Day 9: The goal that won Sonny and so many others military exemption. Lee Seung-Woo (이승우) scores in extra time to break the deadlock against Japan in the finals of the 2018 Asian Games. Gold for Korea!
Day 10: Let's now take it to the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Korea, in a group with Greece, Argentina, and Nigeria, were hoping to get to the knockout stages after a disappointing run in 2006. In the first match against Greece, it's none other than Captain Park who gives us the lead.
Day 11: After the win against Greece (see Day 10), Korea would go on to lose 4-1 against Lionel Messi's Argentina at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Needing a big performance in their final group match against Nigeria, it was a familiar face that stepped up when it mattered most.
Day 12: How can you have a "best moments in Korean football" thread without a goal from Lee Chung-Yong (이청용)? Without further ado, here's the Blue Dragon scoring the crucial equalizer against Uruguay in the Round of 16 match at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Day 13: Lee Kang-In (이강인) wins the Golden Ball award at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Kangin led Korea to its first ever finals appearance at a FIFA World Cup tournament. Past winners of the Golden Ball award? Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, and Paul Pogba. The future is bright.
Day 14: The winning goal of the Gold Medal match at the 2014 Asian Games. Why was this so important?

-beat N. Korea and won gold on home soil
-military exemption for this generation of players
-the last tournament for coach Lee Kwang-Jong who passed away of leukemia in 2016
Day 15: Before Son Heung-Min, it was Park Ji-Sung and before Park Ji-Sung, it was Cha Bum-Kun (차범근). Known better as "Cha Boom" in Europe, Cha Bum-Kun is one of the biggest legends in Asian football. Let's marvel together at some of his most thunderous strikes and goals.
Day 16: We saw Cha Bum-Kun's dominance in Europe yesterday and now we'll move on to another Korean football legend who played for one of the biggest clubs in the world. In the coming days, let's enjoy the brilliance of Park Ji-Sung at #mufc, starting with this beauty.
Day 17: Park Ji-Sung had many memorable games as a #mufc player, and perhaps one of his best came against Wolverhampton in November of 2010. Scoring both goals in a 2-1 win at Old Trafford, Park showed why he's a true United legend. He's always there when the team needs it most.
Day 18: Anyone remember Park Ji-Sung's goal in the #UCL QF match against Chelsea? Just one minute after Didier Drogba scored the equalizer for Chelsea to instill some hope, it was Park who answered to send United into the semifinals. Just listen to the roar of Old Trafford.
Day 19: In the past few days, we saw Park Ji-Sung's impact on both #mufc and Korean football. When Park retired, Korean fans searched for their next hero. Little did they know they were about to see the first world class superstar from Korea who produced moments like this.
