I think everyone here knows how hard Mark works. He hasn& #39;t stopped working for a while now, and it& #39;s remarkable how much it worries the fans...
and as many of you guys may also know, Mark is a Christian, and so am I. This ended up leading me to some... Reflections on his situation as an idol, from a Christian perspective, reflections that I thought were convenient to show you guys.
Mark recently became my utt, and when it happened I decided to take a bible verse for him, and I must say that the verse I took was the starting point for all the reflection that came after.
Beginning with a little biblical context, the basis of Christianity comes down to being like Jesus. This includes suffering in the same way that He suffered, but in the end, winning.
We, as kpop fans, know that idol life is not at all easy, and speaking specifically of Mark, we see the amount of responsibility that SM throws at him. This obviously ends up making fans worried, but... Reflecting more deeply, I concluded a few things.
When I said that the basis of Christianity is to be like Jesus, I specified that it includes the bad part. Suffering and struggles are part of the Christian& #39;s life, but just as Jesus was resurrected, the Bible says that whoever fights to the end will have the victory.
In Christianity, we believe that everyone has their "cross", their daily battle, which will lead to victory in the end, so I came to a conclusion: maybe, being an idol is the "cross" that Mark Lee carries everyday.
As I mentioned earlier, we know that idol life is not easy. Mark has been under a lot of pressure since he was very young, and if on the one hand this is extremely worrying, on the other hand, have you ever stopped to think about, like, why him?
Mark is definitely one of SM& #39;s "top idols", and that can& #39;t have been just a random thing. If they put him at such a high level, it was because they saw some potential in him.
In Christianity, we tend to believe that nothing happens randomly. Everything happens for a bigger reason than we are able to understand, and I believe that with Mark this is no different. The fact that he’s there, in such a high position, at that exact moment, has a reason.
And then comes the verse that I mentioned earlier:
"I have been with you everywhere you have been and, as you have progressed, I have defended you from all your enemies. I will make you famous, as famous as the greatest leaders in the world." 2 Samuel 7:9
"I have been with you everywhere you have been and, as you have progressed, I have defended you from all your enemies. I will make you famous, as famous as the greatest leaders in the world." 2 Samuel 7:9
That was the point I wanted to come into. I got that verse for him the day Mark became my utt, and it was a verse that moved me a lot. It seems that all the worry that I had with Mark disappeared there.
"I defended you from all your enemies"
Do you see the intensity of this? God has protected him from everything from the beginning. I imagine that there must have been people against his success all this time, but he was always under the protection of God.

That is the main point. Here comes everything I said about fighting, winning, bigger reasons than we think, everything.

When I said that being an idol was the "cross" Mark carries, that& #39;s what I was talking about. All the pressure he suffers, all the difficulty, al ofl this is with the intention of taking Mark Lee to an even higher level in the future.
So, finally, what I wanted to tell you, nctzens, is not to worry so much about him, because everything that is happening now is the process that will take our dear Mark Lee even further.
That& #39;s it, angels. Remember that no one is forced to believe in my religion, everything I said on this thread was based on the fact that he is also a Christian.
If you have any questions about something I said, you can send it to me, I promise to try to answer in the best way possible
